Pinnell Dance Centre PDC has offered amazing dance instruction beginning at age 2, since 1976! Pinnell Dance Centre celebrates “44 years of excellence” this season.

We were founded in September of 1976 under the direction of Jeri Pinnell. Over the years, the Dance Centre has become nationally known as one of the top schools in the country. Dance Spirit Magazine voted Pinnell Dance Centre one of the top 50 schools in the nation! Students come to this outstanding studio for a multitude of reasons. Many students enjoy dancing as a recreational opportunity to bui

ld skills and improve self confidence while having fun and creating a healthy body. Others are serious dancers who find a well rounded program that creates the “total dancer” that can pursue a professional career if so desired. Pinnell Dance Centre has produced students who have performed on Broadway and in tours of Cats, Will Rogers Follies, 42nd Street, Jesus Christ Super Star, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, The Music of Andrew Lloyd Weber, Requiem Variations, West Side Story, etc. Students have performed in music videos, on American Idol, So You Think You Can dance, the MTV music awards, etc. In addition, students have danced with the Radio City Rockettes in New York and Los Angeles, as well as on cruise ships and at theme parks including: Disney World, Disney World Tokyo, Opryland, Busch Gardens, Kings Island, Great Escape New York, King’s Dominion, etc.

Senior Spotlight Peyton Gaillard!
“I have been dancing at Pinnell since I was 3 years old, and it has truly become my home away from home. Through Pinnell, I found my people, my passion, and a second family. I will miss the late-night laughs, early morning competition greetings, and all of the memories made along the way. My time at Pinnell is something I will cherish forever, and it will always hold a special place in my heart. I am so grateful for all of the staff who have poured so much into me and helped shape me into the person and dancer I am today.
In the fall, I will be attending the University of Tennessee to study marketing while also being a member of the dance team.”

Peyton, what an incredible journey it has been watching you grow into the dancer and person you are today. A true beast on stage, your relentless hard work, determination, and ability to make even the toughest tricks look effortless have always set you apart. From your sky-high jumps that command everyone’s attention to your ability to nail any trick the first time, you have always brought power, confidence, and passion to the stage.

Beyond your talent, your team spirit is something truly special. You are kind, supportive, and always put your team first while lifting up everyone around you. We will miss having you as our Eagle — a title you wore proudly (and stylishly). You always represented PDC in the best way while making everyone feeling proud of their accomplishments and somehow always making us laugh.

Your amazing dance career has been so exciting to watch, and while we will miss the energy you bring to class each week, we are beyond excited to continue cheering you on as you step onto this new stage in life. We know you are going to flourish on the Tennessee dance team and accomplish incredible things. Keep shining, keep soaring, and keep chasing every dream with the same passion and determination that has always made you so special. We are so proud of you, Peyton! 🦅♥️

What an incredible week at our K-Pop Camp! 💖🎶
From learning awesome dance routines to creating fun crafts, playing games, and making new friends, every day was filled with laughter, energy, and unforgettable memories. Watching our campers grow in confidence, creativity, and teamwork was truly the highlight of the week!
Thank you to all of our amazing dancers for bringing so much enthusiasm and positivity. We loved every minute of it and can’t wait to see you back on the dance floor soon!

Senior Spotlight Mia Rowe!

“It feels so surreal to be writing this because it honestly feels like just yesterday I walked into the studio for the very first time as a fourth grader. Looking back now, I realize this place has shaped me into the person I am today in more ways than I ever could have imagined. Pinnell taught me far more than technique and performance, it taught me confidence, resilience, kindness, and the importance of uplifting the people around you. It showed me what it means to be part of a team that feels like family.
One of the most meaningful parts of my time at the studio has been teaching and working with the younger dancers. Watching them grow into talented, confident dancers has been incredibly rewarding and inspiring.
Next year, I am so excited to continue dancing as a member of the official dance team at West Virginia University. I will also be studying English and Economics in the WVU Honors College while pursuing a pre-law track. None of this would have been possible without the endless support of my teachers, my best friends, and my family. Thank you for believing in me, encouraging me, and helping me chase this dream. I’m so grateful for everything this studio has given me, and leaving this chapter behind is truly bittersweet. I will miss this place with my whole heart 🫶”

Mia, we have absolutely loved having you at PDC! Your kindness, encouraging spirit, and constant support for those around you never go unnoticed. You are always the one cheering on your teammates, lifting others up, and getting everyone going with your positive energy. Whether flying through the air with your killer jumps or commanding the stage with those beautiful lines & iconic tricks, you have a way of capturing attention every time you perform. Beyond your talent, you have been such a bright light to our younger dancers — always kind, thoughtful and someone they look up to.

Senior Spotlight Hayden Harpe!

“I started dancing at Pinnell in second grade, and it has been such a big part of my life ever since. Pinnell became like a second home to me, and I’ve made so many amazing memories and friendships there. I will miss dancing with my team, performing on stage, and seeing everyone at the studio every week. I’m so thankful for everything Pinnell has taught me and for all the memories I’ll always carry with me. Next year I will be going to the University of Mississippi and studying business.”

Hayden, we have absolutely loved having you at PDC! From your killer tap sounds to your hilarious sense of humor, you bring so much joy and energy wherever you go. You have a way of making everyone laugh and have been such an amazing friend and teammate!

So many amazing memories shared, lifelong friendships reunited, and countless moments that reminded us why this dance family is so special. From the hugs to the laughter to the stories from every generation — it was truly a night to remember.
