Limestone Football’s Road Game Against Tusculum
Has Been Relocated Due To Impact Of Hurricane Helene:

The impact and aftermath of Hurricane Helene has forced the relocation of Limestone University’s South Atlantic Conference football game against Tusculum University this weekend.

The Saints were scheduled to visit Pioneer Field in Greeneville, TN, on Saturday, Oct. 5, at 1 p.m. However, due to the ongoing water outage in Greeneville and Greene County, the game has been moved to Lakeway Christian Academy, located 30 miles away in White Pine, TN. Kickoff will remain at 1 p.m. Gates open at 11:30 a.m. The game will also be live streamed on FloSports (subscription required).

For Saints fans traveling to the game, the 2,000-seat stadium with synthetic turf is located at 3720 Roy Messer Highway. Lakeway Christian Academy, a private middle and high school located on 43 acres, opened in the fall of 2020.

Parking and admission to Saturday’s game between the Saints and Pioneers will be free, but donations will be taken at the gate with all proceeds going toward the Tusculum Emergency Fund which will assist students, faculty, and staff who have been displaced due to the remnants of Hurricane Helene.

Limestone, 3-1 overall and 2-0 in conference play, looks to push its winning streak to three games, after outscoring the last two opponents by a combined score of 89-29. Tusculum is currently 0-3 overall and -0-2 in the SAC. The Pioneers have been outscored by a combined 132-52 through three games, falling to West Alabama 45-9, Newberry 50-20, and Lenoir-Rhyne 37-23.

Limestone Homecoming Football Game
Postponed Until Sunday, Sept. 29, At 1 P.M.:

Due to the impact of Hurricane Helene, Limestone University’s Homecoming football game against Emory & Henry University that was scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 28, at 4 p.m., has been postponed until Sunday, Sept. 29, at 1 p.m.

Limestone officials announced that the contest has been postponed, in part, to allow for debris clean-up on Friday afternoon and throughout the day on Saturday in order to make the game and field conditions safe for the respective teams and fans.

Coming to Saints Field on Sunday is an Emory & Henry squad that is 3-0 overall and 1-0 in the South Atlantic Conference. Limestone, under the direction of first-year head coach Jerricho Cotchery, is currently 2-1 overall and 1-0 in conference play.

The Clary Family Tailgate Lot is scheduled to open at 9 a.m. on Sunday. If it is determined that the grass tailgate lot is unavailable due to the impact of Hurricane Helene, parking will be available in various paved lots across campus. Game tickets and tailgate lot passes are available for purchase at www.GoLimestoneSaints.com/tickets. Tailgate policies are available at www.limestone.edu/tailgating.

The Alumni Tailgate that was planned for Saturday has been postponed until a future date to be determined.

Also postponed is the presentation of the Limestone Homecoming Court and the crowning of the Homecoming King & Queen. A new date will be announced soon.

The Limestone University Alumni Tailgate as part of Homecoming 2024 scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 28, at 1 p.m., has been postponed due to the impact of Hurricane Helene. The rescheduled date has not yet been determined. Please stay tuned to our social media accounts for future updates. As of right now, there has been decision on whether or not the Homecoming football game between Limestone and Emory & Henry University will be played as scheduled. We will provide updates as they develop.

Fresh off a 52-5 victory at Anderson University on Saturday, “Saints Huddle With Coach Jerricho Cotchery” takes place today, Monday, Sept. 23, at 12:30 p.m.

Host Dennis Fowler from WZZQ and Saints head football coach Jerricho Cotchery will breakdown the game at Anderson and then look ahead to this Saturday's homecoming contest against visiting Emory & Henry University.

The 30-minute show, live from the Hines & Riggins Center, will air each week during the Limestone football season.

In addition to being live over the radio airwaves on WZZQ, “Saints Huddle” will be streamed on FloSports, the exclusive digital platform of the South Athletic Conference (SAC) Live Digital Network.

Limestone students, faculty, staff, and fans are invited out to each edition of “Saints Huddle.” While enjoying the show in-person, guests are welcome to purchase food and beverages from Freshens and Café 1845.

Limestone University's football team made history on Saturday, Sept. 21, as the Saints rolled past Anderson University 52-5 in the South Atlantic Conference opener for both teams. In doing so, the Saints handed the previously unbeaten Trojans their first loss in program history. Currently 2-1 overall, Limestone will play its first home contest of the season on Saturday, Sept. 28, as Emory & Henry University comes to Gaffney for homecoming. ON THE ROAD AGAIN...
HOW TO WATCH SATURDAY'S FOOTBALL GAME:

For the third straight week, Limestone University's football team will be on the road this Saturday as the Saints travel to Anderson University for their South Atlantic Conference opener. Kick-off is set for 1 p.m. at Younts Stadium.

The home-standing Trojans are currently 2-0 with victories over St. Andrews (51-14) and LaGrange (44-14). Limestone is now 1-1 with a win at West Liberty (48-13) and a loss at West Alabama (33-14).

Limestone football players will become a part of another school’s history Saturday when the Saints play Anderson.

The Trojans are hosting Limestone in their first-ever South Atlantic Conference game. Anderson's first two games of the season, both at home, have been sellouts.

Anderson quarterback Tyler Wesley is 33-for-41 for 496 passing yards and five touchdowns. His top receiver Kenneth Brown has 10 catches for 160 yards and a touchdown, while Jalon Warthen-Carr has seven catches for 102 yards. Running back Monz Campbell is the leading rusher with 113 yards on 18 carries and three touchdowns.

Limestone will play its first home contest of the 2024 campaign when the Saints host Emory & Henry on Saturday, Sept. 28, at 4 p.m.
