In a crazy series of events, there was a manual scoring adjustment for Ben Grier's Oaxaca Guanacos Tuesday morning due to the fact that Aaron Rodgers was benched instead of being listed as a starter in Week Four against Jason McGhinnis' Sonoma Death Sticks.
After a 3-2 vote in favor of allowing Aaron Rodgers to be manually listed as a starter and have 89 points added to the Guanacos' score, the rationale was one of noting an exceptional and unusual series of circumstances and events.
Ben accepted Blake's trade of Rodgers for Mike Evans on Thursday while in China, which had a 13 hour difference in time from our centrally located front office in Alabama. Unaware of the trade being effective upon the league manager upholding it and assuming the effective date to be 10/03/2017, Ben went to bed in Asia and awoke the following morning to realize his "starter" was not starting on his team and had already played. Because of this, Ben appealed this issue to the League Manager, who then provided a vote motion to the four Divisional Representatives, resulting in a vote to approve Rodgers to be the Guanacos starter.
Unfortunately for Ben, if he were to have started Cam Newton, who recorded 123 fantasy points, he would have defeated McGhinnis' Death Sticks and remained undefeated. Instead, he lost by 16 points.
