Fun Fact Friday
Lookaway Golf Club's property holds a special place in history as the first land deeded in Buckingham Township, PA, by William Penn in 1713. The clubhouse, built around 1752, is the oldest golf clubhouse in the U.S. Over the years, the property served various purposes, including as a home and schoolhouse. In 1923, Theodore W. Sterling purchased the land, renaming it Lookaway and continuing dairy farm services. The farm's logo, featuring Sterling's initials, is still the club's symbol today, representing over 80 years of local tradition.
