Labor Day weekend is when most pools around here put the cover on and call it a year.

Ours does not. The outdoor pool at The Tides stays open year round, right alongside the indoor pool. Same water, same laps, just fewer people and a lot more room.

What does change after the summer season: lifeguard hours wind down and the snack shack closes up. The swimming does not go anywhere.

So if September usually means the end of pool season for your family, it does not have to. Check the current pool schedule at clubworx.net or ask at the front desk, and remember you can reserve a lap lane in the ClubWorx app up to two weeks out.

🏊 Fall/Winter Swim Team starts TOMORROW!

Our 2026–2027 Fall/Winter Swim Team is designed to bridge the gap between summer swim and more competitive programs, with a focus on stroke development, endurance, and having fun.

Practices are Mondays & Wednesdays in our heated 83° outdoor pool:
• 4:30–5:30 PM: Ages 11+
• 5:30–6:30 PM: Ages 10 & Under

First practice: Wednesday, September 2
No practice Monday, September 7 for Labor Day. Practices resume Wednesday, September 9.

Monthly fees:
Members: $90/child
Non-Members: $115/child

Swimmers should be able to complete one 25-yard length unassisted using freestyle with rotary breathing and backstroke, with some knowledge of breaststroke. Evaluations are available if you’re unsure whether your swimmer is ready.

September's Smoothie of the Month is the Skinny Delight.

Unsweetened almond milk, banana, and PB Lite, blended with 30g of vanilla whey protein. It is a great source of potassium and a good source of vitamin D, and it tastes like the peanut butter banana thing you were already thinking about.

Thirty grams of protein means it holds up as a real post-workout option, not just something nice on the way out.

Picture it: Ninety minutes where nothing is required of you except for slow, relaxing movements.

Our next Restorative Yoga Workshop is Friday, September 11th from 4:00 to 5:30pm. You will relax into poses with the aid of props, held long enough that your body actually lets go. No strain, no pain, no experience needed. The only requirement is being able to get up and down from the floor.

Every age and fitness level is welcome. Please bring your own mat.

Members $20, Non-members $30.
