These kiddos… sometimes it takes a little grit, a little gumption, and a whole lot of grace and love for the sport. If these riders didn’t exemplify that this week, I don’t know who does.
They worked so hard to get here, and while the weather may have gotten in the way, it never got the best of them. At the end of the day, we qualified two ponies for Pony Hunter Finals and we are absolutely leaping with joy over our short stirrup pony! And Pinch Hitter Pico got to hang out and enjoy a little well-earned rest. 😊
I think everyone left feeling happy, fulfilled, and proud of what they accomplished this week. So grateful for these ponies, these kids, and this journey together. ❤️

What a week at Triangle Sandhills Classic. all four seasons packed into one show, and the kiddos still showed up every single day ready to work.
Louie and Lex earning Series Champion in the schooling ponies and large pony hunters, and Lilah with Kaitlyn taking Series Champion in the green pony hunters, is such a huge accomplishment. That kind of consistency doesn’t happen by accident it comes from long days, grit, teamwork, and a lot of learning along the way.

River was in his zone with Kolbie. Stall to ring just as easy as could be.
You can really see the dedication this group has put in, and it paid off in a big way. They should all be incredibly proud of themselves. And honestly, the part about showing up every day through the wind, chill, heat, and humidity says just as much as the ribbons do.

He has an auto lead change, a cute jump, and is consistently liked by the judges. Vivaldi is best suited for a confident rider. He would also make a great addition to a lesson program for riders ready to learn on a horse with real show experience. On the ground, he has excellent manners, is easy to turn in and out, and is an overall easy keeper. A good home is an absolute must, and we will be selective about where this guy goes. River qualified for Pony Finals his first time out this year in the Large Regulars. He has no peek at the jumps, is a good mover, and requires minimal prep at horse shows. He placed 9th in the model during his Large Green year and is well suited for a rider in the children’s pony through the large regulars.
