Swiveling, or using the same foot to push, change direction, and push quickly again is more efficient than stopping yourself with your lead foot before pushing to the back post when the puck changes direction like this.
Even though it feels slower, efficiency buys you time, and gives you a better chance of making this save. Shesterkin executes it perfectly here.
