North Jefferson Academy of Dance - NJAD Dance studio in Gardendale, AL instructing ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, hip-hop, lyrical, liturgical, dance team prep, and baton.

For more than 40 years, North Jefferson Academy of Dance (NJAD) has been serving Gardendale, AL and the surrounding communities. We teach all levels of ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, hip-hop, dance team prep, lyrical/liturgical, and baton twirling. We accept students ages 3 years – 18 years of age for our classes. We are a conservative, non-competitive dance studio with an emphasis on technique, strengthening, and encouragement.

Happy Recital Day! 🩰 We are feeling so incredibly grateful for the journey we’ve had with our dancers this year. They are ready to light up the stage and show off all the work they’ve poured into this season. To every student, parent, and instructor: thank you for making this day possible. Your love for NJAD means the world to us.

To ensure every dancer gets the spotlight they deserve and every audience member enjoys the show, please remember:

🎭 Stay Seated: Please remain in your seat during routines. If you must enter or exit the theatre, please do so only between performances.

🤫 Quiet, Please: Keep talking to a minimum so everyone can hear the music and focus on the stage.

📸 No Flash Photography: Flash is distracting (and can be dangerous) for dancers on stage.

It’s Recital Weekend! 🪩🩰 Part 3 rehearsals are happening tonight at the Alabama Theatre!

Remember: Parts 1 and 2 will rehearse and perform tomorrow (Saturday), followed by the Part 3 recital.

Quick Note: We are officially "on the headset" and backstage! We won’t be able to respond to DMs or comments in a timely manner. All the details you need regarding dress rehearsal times were included in your costume packets and sent via email.

Tonight marked the final NJAD classes for our Class of 2026. 🎓✨

It’s hard to believe how quickly the year has flown by. This group has brought so much heart and light to our studio. To our seniors: thank you for the motivation, loyalty, laughs, and talent you’ve shared with us. You have truly left your mark on this studio, and we are endlessly proud of the leaders you've become.

Soak in every second of this weekend, seniors—you’ve earned it. Here’s to a beautiful finale and the bright futures ahead! We love you!

TUITION REMINDER: Please remember that May tuition is a full month’s payment, as annual tuition is divided into 10 equal monthly installments from August–May for your convenience. All accounts must be paid in full by today, May 7th, in order for dancers to participate in dress rehearsals and recitals.
