After qualifying for regionals in the spring our first weekend ever trying the PSG level, Noodle(8 yr old Oldenburg )and I took the next few months to go back to basics of canter quality ( and I took three horse shopping trips out of the country lol). So when time came to sign up for the regionals show....I was pretty set against it.
But JT and Amanda Bailey both nudged me to go have fun with friends riding dressage! Off we went to St Louis! My goals of making it around the show pen and having fun were knocked out of the ballpark.
Noodle was the most fun ride ever earning third place and a Wildcard score for US Dressage Finals!!! And our row of friends made this show feel like it was filled with extravagant amounts of camaraderie , hard work, and joy.
So Cheers to the rest of the group still showing the next two days in your championship classes .....hope to see you next month at the Kentucky Horse Park!

To say we had an interesting and memorable weekend would be an understatement. Thank you Elizabeth G. Clifton and Mid-South Dressage Academy for another fantastic Spring show...

Noodle turned 8 years old this spring and this weekend made his PSG debut with equal scores both days of 64.7%. He has come such a long way from the fire breathing dragon warmblood to the fun horse to ride and train every day. We had several small bobbles and lots of room for improvement but it was a perfect first try at this level and I am looking forward to polishing it a bit more as we continue our work toward Grand Prix.
JT is doing me a solid favor by taking Fancifeet everywhere we go just to get him out and about. As usual JT is doing a fantastic job with this young horse and they had a great weekend practicing! Next month he may even try a test!
Logic has a small abscess in his foot due to a bruise so I brought Moxie (3 year old Lusitano) out last minute since I already paid for an entry. He was so much fun and a brave boy. We entered an Intro B class and he scored 70.3%. I had a blast riding him and he was so good he did not even need a lunge! He is going to be fun when we really start taking him to shows next year!!
Besides all the horsing around, we had a blast with all our horsey family celebrating first rides and lots of wins along with the best Derby party ever!
For those that missed it...hope to see you there next month!!

One of the many many things that JT does best is giving young horses a fantastic start. From his months of in hand work to their time with streamers, tarps, plastic bags, indoor time and outdoor rides.....he makes brave, happy horses working just a few minutes a day for three days a week. And this year is no different.
This is my second day of riding Paradigm Shift (aka Yaya) my three year old Hanoverian gelding by Finest. I just got him right out of the stall, tacked him up, and hopped on! A safe feeling, three quality gaits, and a wide open future!! Great job JT!
