Opening day 2026 recap!

This past Saturday we started our 2026 season off HPIS. It was great to see all our familiar faces and new faces as well.

Was able to go 3rd to 1st in the heat which put me starting on the front row of the feature with my good buddy Nelson Logan.

Green flag waves and I was able to lead the first 10 laps with a late race caution. Unfortunately returning to green after the caution I was spun out going into turn one, but was able to race back to solid podium position in 3rd.

All in all it was a good day and look forward to the rest of the season.

2025 award’s banquet is in the books! Let me start off by saying THANK YOU to everyone for the support and everything along the way during our racing journey throughout the years! We were able to bring home quite a bit of hardware tonight. Shania finished a close 3rd in the season points and I was able to clinch the season championship. But tonight was a surprise for us all. Never in my career would I ever think I was a candidate for a special award, but tonight I was recognized with the 2025 sportsmanship of the year award. Hams Prairie International Speedway is more of home for us with all the relationships we have created with friends and family. Everyone at the track is considered family in our eyes. So I am deeply appreciative for being recognized with the 2025 sportsmanship award. Thank you again to everyone for the support and can’t wait to see you at the track in 2026!

It’s official, with Hams Prairie International Speedway points coming to a close I’ve officially been named 2025 Doolittle Trailer Mfg., Inc. vintage champion!

It’s been a great season for us at Drummond Motorsports. Multiple wins, multiple podium finishes from both drivers. Lots of laughs, smiles, and memories along the way.

Looks like Shania has battled her way to 3rd in season points standings with our close friend and family Rj Curtis finishing 2nd in the season standings.

Shania and Rj were in a pretty close back and forth battle for the runner up spot most the season. Proud of both of them on their performances this year!

Race recap 11/8/25

Not quite the best results for this years Big Buck Bash at HPIS. But it was a fun one with lots of memories and smiles.

Shania and I ended up in the same heat race with our good friend Ronnie Yelton. To make things interesting and create lasting memories ronnie rolled to outside and we started 3 wide for our heat race. Ronnie and I were able to swap the lead back and forth a couple times with Ronnie winning the heat and I finished 2nd with Shania rounding out 3rd.

Come feature time i missed the gear but was able to finish a solid 4th and Shania finished 6th. First year without bringing home some big buck hardware. But the memories and smiles definitely make up for that

As the racing season winds down we just wanted to give an extra big thanks to all our sponsors and supporters that help us do what we do

Race recap 10/25/25

Was a chilly drizzly day at the home track Hams Prairie International Speedway. Track was quick and made for some great racing.

Shania struggled in her heat and unfortunately ended up going backwards. But she was able to elbows up and move forward in the feature and finish 5th.

I was able to have an extremely fun side by side battle with my good buddy Rj Curtis ultimately finishing 2nd behind him. Feature time I was able to work my way up to finish 3rd behind Ronnie Yelton. Congrats again Cole graves on the W again lol.

Late to post but last race we celebrated Collin and Rjs birthday weekend at the track and we were able to collect a 1,2,3 for Drummond Motorsports Ryan Rj and Shania.

This week we raced and were able to finish 3rd 5th and 6th.

We would like to send a big congrats to our extended family Nelson Logan on his treaded predator win.

Would also like to give a big congrats to Lucas Yelton on his grudge race tonight.

Better late than never with a busy weekend. We’d like to take time to wish our brother and teammate Rj Curtis a happy belated birthday! Hope you enjoyed your weekend and look forward to many more races with you!

Saturday we raced under the lights again at HPIS for the honoring Jason Russell race.

Beautiful night temps were great and the racing was on point all day.

I was able to grab my first HPIS under the lights victory by winning my heat race and feature.

Shania unfortunately was roughed around on the start and lost quite a bit of ground, with the race going flag to flag it was hard to make up the ground she lost. So with that said she wanted a little redemption, so we got the ok to tag the back of the new treaded predator class for some shack down laps with that class.
She jumped up front early and was able to lead most the race with Rj Curtis and myself trying everything we could to get around her. Coming out of four she spun to avoid a stopped kart right in front of her.

To see her leading the pack and making the moves of a top contender definitely makes me proud and shows all the effort she has put in over the years.

Hams Prairie International Speedway 3rd stop on the hell tour is complete. For the 3rd stop we went to Audrain County youth 4H fair.

Shania was lucky to pull the low number which had her starting pole in heat 1 which she was able to hold off the boys and secure the heat race win.

I was also to start pole for heat 2 i was not able to hold off the Iceman Cole graves and finished 2nd in my heat.

Come feature time Shania started pole and I started 2nd row outside. Drop of the green I found myself on the outside of a small freight train falling back to about 4th or 5th. Shania was in 2nd trying to defend the bottom and unfortunately got herself caught in the hay bales and looped it in front of the field collecting me as well. Unfortunately sending her to back where to she struggled trying to find ways to pass on the small fair tracks.

I was able to race my way into second after a good battle with Justin price. After settling into second i was able to stay there till the checkered flag flew. I was trying but had nothing for Cole graves, as always lol.

Congrats to the Iceman on the W!

Also big congrats to Nelson Logan for finally kicking those gremlins and finishing a solid 2nd in 50+!
