😂
A vehicle had been reported stolen in Highlands County, and OnStar reached out to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office to say that the vehicle was driving north on US Highway 27 near Lake Wales.
Once our deputies got into position, they requested OnStar to shut down the stolen white Chevy Silverado…which they did. Which is also kind of cool.
The truck coasted to a stop in Dundee.
Deputies surrounded the truck and gave commands to the driver. 33-year-old Joseph was that driver.
Joseph must not have cared much for what the deputies were saying, because he rolled up his window. That’s just rude.
Deputies asked OnStar to unlock the truck, and they did. Joseph locked them again.
Joseph was playing hardball.
More commands were given to Joseph, but he continued to ignore them.
Instead of voluntarily coming out of the vehicle, Joseph chose to involuntarily come out of the vehicle.
And then he was handcuffed. Which is odd really, since it’s actually the wrists which are cuffed, not the hands. Why are people not wristcuffed?
Following his arrest, it was discovered Joseph had a glass pipe containing methamphetamine hidden…on him…somewhere…down there. Say it ain’t so, Joe!
Yes, our deputies have latex gloves, thank goodness.
Joseph was charged with Grand Theft of a Motor Vehicle, Possession of M**h, Possession of Paraphernalia, and Resisting.
Joseph was transported to the jail where he was fitted with a not so amazing unicolor jailcoat.
