You know some great things were happening when coach has his hands full of gear at 1st base! JV and Varsity both won on Saturday playing Lakewood! 2 Big Wins! Congrats FMHS Wildcat baseball. Next up...... Varsity plays Palisade Tuesday night at 6 pm at Suplizio! Wear your Blue and come support!

It has been a busy week for FMHS baseball. Freshmen team tied with Palisade 9-9 and lost a tough one to Delta 5-4. JV baseball won against Palisade 5-2! Varsity won all 3 games last week bringing their record to 9-1. Both JV and Varsity play Saturday, 4/8 at 1:00. JV at the HS field and Varsity at CanyonView Park! They take on a good team out of Lakewood. Come out and enjoy some sunshine and baseball and support FMHS Baseball!

FMHS Baseball has some major SHOUTOUTS to some businesses that have stepped up. and so graciously gave to the Fruita players to. help. with fundraising this season. Without multiple businesses donating. iy makes it very hard for a lot to happen. As a team, we would like to thank everyone who donated and helped in our First Annual Hitting Derby, which was a great success.

Fruita Monument Varsity Baseball comes out with a W over Denver North. Despite the cold temperatures the young men battled it out and won 5-2. Lucas Weaver pitched 6 2/3 innings allowing 5 hits and 2 runs while striking out 7 and Kyle Thurber came in and closed out the game! Hunter Smolinski led Fruita with 3 hits in 4 at bats with. 2 RBIs. Carter Hines had a 2 RBI single in the game as well as Logan Cardoza with a double scoring 1 run as well and making an outstanding diving catch in center field saving 2 runs! Luke Weaver and Karson Reed also each had a single in the game helping out the offense.

Fruita Monument Baseball had a great night at Canyonview with a BIG win against Rangeview 16-2. Come out tomorrow and watch them play again... same time 4:30.... same place Canyonview Park!
