In other news, we hope to have our water features up and running next week. 🤞 Until then, you can still pretend they're working and pour water over your own head with a bucket or something. 😉👍

Although the pool is open today, our deck umbrellas are not!

Due too the strong winds, all deck umbrellas must remain closed! This is to avoid a scenario similar to the picture which would cost us $65 for a replacement umbrella. No offense, but that gate admission fee you paid isn't going to cover that. So please, keep them closed today.

Our apologies for any inconvenience and thanks for understanding!

👙 Gentlemen… Start Your Bikinis! 👙

Think you’ve got the confidence, courage, and questionable fashion sense to take on the challenge? 😎

The 11th Annual Men’s Bikini Challenge returns on Sunday, July 5th in celebration of National Bikini Day — and yes, this legendary tradition is exactly what it sounds like.

🏆 What’s at stake?
Bragging rights, glory, laughs, and a chance to win 2027 Family Season Pool Passes!

📸 To be eligible:
✔️ Show up at the pool between Noon – 5:30 PM
✔️ Rock your best bikini
✔️ Allow a few photos to be taken for judging purposes

How did this ridiculous tradition begin? 🤔

Years ago, our female lifeguards challenged the male lifeguards to stop complaining about how “hard” it was to pick out swimwear and try selecting a bikini themselves. Shockingly… none of the guys accepted the challenge.

So, we opened it up to the public — because what better day than National Bikini Day to see who’s brave enough to step up?

After 8 long years, we finally got our first brave contestant. Since then, participation has grown… although fashion sense has remained somewhat questionable. 😂 Some contestants clearly had professional consultation. Others… not so much.

👀 A Few Friendly (and Important) Bikini Tips:

1️⃣ Test fit your bikini first.
Please inspect from multiple angles. A trusted friend, spouse, or brutally honest family member can be extremely helpful here. The goal is to avoid any “unauthorized appearances.” 😬

2️⃣ Get a second opinion.
Seriously. Have someone confirm everything important is properly covered and secure before you arrive.

3️⃣ Do the water test.
What looks fine dry may become… unpredictable after pool time. Keep in mind that cooler water temperatures can create unexpected “fit adjustments” in certain anatomical regions. Plan accordingly. We cannot stress this enough. 😅

🚨 Most importantly: Please make sure all appropriate areas remain fully covered and secure both in and out of the water.

Today's the day! We open at noon and will be open daily for the rest of the season....weather permitting of course.

Chance of a storm today -
Just an FYI, there is a good chance of a thunderstorm rolling through around noon today. Please note that we follow NOAA safety guidelines that recommend everyone exit the water for 30 minutes after hearing thunder or seeing lightning. We'll let everyone back in the pool afterward. This is not to give our lifeguards a 30 minute break. It's to protect the people at the pool from hazardous conditions.

We will regularly update the pool status on right here on our page if that happens to let you know if we're currently open or closed.

*Please note, the weather is out of our control. We do recommend checking the forecast and the radar before coming to the pool because we do not refund admission for weather related closures. That's not our ticket attendant's policy, that's our policy. So please do not berate or harass our ticket attendants or pool staff about it. They are doing their job as instructed. If you feel the need to voice your displeasure, please call 301-914-1788.

We're not going to sugarcoat it. This weekend's weather forecast absolutely sucks. We're a swimming pool, not a cold plunge tub. So to prevent hypothermia in our less intelligent guests, opening day has been rescheduled for next weekend on Saturday, May 30th. Our apologies for any inconvenience.

It’s official! We have our swimming pool operating permit for 2026! The pool heater is cranking out the btu’s and should have the water at a balmy 72 degrees in no time! Although, after looking at this weekend‘s forecast, I don’t think the pool heater is going to save us.

*Also please note that although our operating permit is valid through Dec 31, 2026, we WILL NOT be scheduling pool parties during the 2026 holiday season.

Shelter Splash This Saturday!

Stop by the Frostburg Pool for our very first Shelter Splash this Saturday! Come out to meet and greet the pups from the Allegany County Animal Shelter, splash around and have some fun!

While you’re there grab a snack at the Pool Concession stand which is being run this Summer by Max and Brea from the “In Between Cafe”.

This is an adoption event for the Allegany County Animal Shelter. Stop by and enjoy a little fun with the pups. You may just make a new furry best friend that would love to make a new life with you!

The Animal Shelter will also be accepting donations at the event. The following items are always needed and appreciated:
Purina Dog Chow, Purina Cat Chow, Pedigree Chopped Canned Dog Food, Laundry and Dish Soap, Used Blankets & Towels.
