2022 SUMMER SCHEDULE UPDATE:

If you are a new or returning player/parent the 2022 Summer season schedule is nearing completion. Below is some information as it stands with more to follow. But, practices or games for the Sr's will be Tuesday evenings possibly some weeks on Weds but all in the evenings. Most tournaments will be Fri-sun. Both the Sr. and and the Jr. teams will be off the 1st weekends in June and July. If you’re looking to schedule some summer vacations, these two weekends would be open and available for that. The AL Zone tournament for both the Sr’s and the Jr’s have a window to be started and completed of 7/16-23rd. Those dates are determined by the host. The Sr. State tournament (7/27-31) will be in Topeka this year. The America Legion Regional event will be in Montgomery, Ala. this year. If we advance to that like the Sr. team did last year, it’ll be 8/3-7th. The Jr. State Tournament will be in Pittsburg this year. It will be at Jaycee Ballpark 7/27-31. The Pittsburg Jr. team will play in the Zone Tournament but receive an automatic bid to the State Tournament. Hope this info helps and send us a PM if there are questions.

American Legion Post 64 Baseball recently completed its first ever 7-week winter workout training program at World Class Sports (.WCSports) in Pittsburg, Ks. With the help and guidance from Dr. Zackery Long of Crawford County Chiropractic, the program was designed in an effort to hopefully mitigate the potential for arm, shoulder, or other injury though proper instruction in core strength building and stretching techniques. Dr. Long liked to refer to the program as “Prehab”. Each of the new and returning Post 64 players were issued a new set of Jaeger Bands (J-Bands) and a foam roller along with a workout plan to use during the spring high school and summer American Legion Baseball seasons. Below is a chart detailing some of the data collected and the progress as a team in the % of improvement from the beginning to the end of the program.
