Meet Miss Sadie!

As The Dance Pitt’s co-owner, Sadie Bicknell brings 33 years of dance experience to the studio. She’s spent the last 15 years helping to build a supportive, creative space where dancers of all ages can thrive. Sadie especially enjoys working with the youngest dancers, watching them discover the joy of movement and grow in confidence. She takes great pride in the family that has formed at TDP, and finds it rewarding to see former students return as leaders. In addition to dance, she has taught elementary education for 14 years and is raising three amazing children.

💃 This season, Miss Sadie is teaching Mini and Junior Comp, acro, open technique/ballet and Tuesday Tiny Combo.

We're less than a week away from our first day of Rec classes! We can't wait to meet all the new faces and welcome back familiar ones. 🤗

The first day of anything can feel intimidating, so we've compiled some FAQs to help the day go smoothly!

🩰 What does my dancer wear/bring?
Anything they can move freely in! Barefoot is great for beginners, but ballet and tap shoes are encouraged for our combo classes. Don't forget a water bottle! Check the reminder email sent Aug 30th, and let us know asap if you did not receive it so we can get the correct address.

🤔 What do we do when we get there?
Come 5-10 minutes early to get acclimated to the studio and allow your dancer's nerves to calm. You'll also have time for photo ops and shoe rentals! Check out our master schedule to find out which room their class is in. The Pink Room is the first to your left when walking in the studio, and the Blue Room is past the trophy wall. Bathrooms are at the very back.

👀 Do I stay or leave? Can I watch?
It's completely up to you, but we do teach independence by keeping parents in the lobby. We have a small watch window for each room, but if your child sees you, they may not do their best. If you want to take some me-time, feel free to sit out in your car until the class is over!
