🎆 FIREWORKS REMINDER FOR THE FOURTH OF JULY 🎆

As Independence Day celebrations begin across the region, residents are reminded that fireworks are generally prohibited within most city limits across Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, and New Mexico.

🚫 Fireworks can create serious fire hazards, especially during hot, dry, and windy conditions common across the High Plains.

Before lighting fireworks:
✅ Check your local city ordinances
✅ Follow any burn bans or fire restrictions
✅ Keep water and a fire extinguisher nearby
✅ Never shoot fireworks near homes, vehicles, fields, or dry grass

Violations may result in fines and other penalties depending on local regulations.

Let’s celebrate safely and responsibly while protecting our communities, first responders, and our neighbors.

🇺🇸 Have a safe and happy Fourth of July!

🇺🇸 FIREWORK SAFETY REMINDER FROM FRITCH VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT 🇺🇸

As we celebrate Independence Day with family and friends, let’s make safety our top priority. A few moments of fun aren’t worth a lifetime of injury.

The Texas Panhandle remains susceptible to grass fires, especially during hot, dry, and windy conditions. Please be mindful of your surroundings and avoid using fireworks near dry vegetation or other combustible materials.

Together, we can enjoy a safe and memorable Fourth of July while protecting our families, neighbors, and community.

🚒 From all of us at the Fritch Volunteer Fire Department, have a safe and happy Independence Day!

Police and Fire experience a substantially high call volume on Independence Day. Please be responsible and follow these regulations. We have had rain recently, but remember, even grass that appears green will burn due to dead undergrowth.

Have a safe and responsible Independence Day!
