D1 Basketball Academy is the Premier Basketball Training Academy in Dallas Ft. Our mission is to provide unrivaled skill training, coaching, and basketball education for individuals and teams of all ages and ability levels. EVERY CHILD IS WELCOME AT the D1 Basketball Academy and will be given the opportunity to maximize their talent, grow their understandi

ng of the game and most importantly, develop the leadership qualities necessary for success both on and off the court. THE D1 Basketball CULTURE:

Due to the large gap that exists in the youth basketball markets of Dallas, the D1 Basketball Academy was founded by former NCAA D1 coaches, who have a passion for competitive basketball and wanted to create a culture where every kid who loves the game CAN and WILL succeed. Starting with the basic fundamentals of basketball, and progressing towards more advanced skill-work, our goal is to help create a completely-skilled and intelligent basketball player. We’re building the academy with a reputation of reliability, expertise, and professionalism as we teach our kids how to play with integrity, discipline and an unwavering work ethic. Our training program utilizes ongoing evaluation and feedback to adapt specific skills, strength and conditioning protocols to best fit each player’s needs, while our teams will utilize the same principles around offense and defense to create a consistent curriculum throughout all ages and gender groups. D1 Basketball players will be supported through ongoing communication with parents around academics, confidence, and culture while the D1 Basketball staff regularly communicates with Middle School and High School coaches, giving the kids the benefit of all coaches being on the same page. The D1 Basketball Academy will provide weekly skills training, individual private training, practice court time based on age and team affiliation, open court games and evaluation, and in-game coaching provided by the D1 Basketball coaching staff. Our teams will participate in the top leagues and tournaments in the North Dallas and Metroplex area. THE D1 Basketball STAFF:
Our passionate D1 Basketball Coaching staff represents over 150 years of high school, college, and professional coaching and playing experience. All of the instructors recognize the importance of learning the fundamentals at a young age and believe in the merits of dedication, hard work, positive thinking, and are committed to making each of these ideals an integral part of our training curriculum. The energy of our coaches is contagious and you will see that energy spill over into the confidence and performance of each player.

Congratulations to Class of 2025 D1 Alum, Mylee Guinn of Frisco High School, for being named District 9-5A Newcomer of the Year!! Mylee had a very impressive freshman season leading the team in rebounds and blocks. She was 2nd on the team in points and assists, averaging over 12 points per game. Her 11.4 rebounds per game ranked her 5th for varsity high school girls in all of DFW!

Mylee ( #5) played for Coach Loyd and D1 Basketball Academy from 4th-8th grade and the growth that she made over those 5 years was truly amazing. She has quickly made a name for herself on the high school scene and is already receiving recruiting interest and offers from Division-1 Power 5 conference programs! We look forward to BIG THINGS from Mylee over the next 3 years!!
