FRISCO BADMINTON ATHLETES EARN SPOTS ON THE US NATIONAL TEAM

Three athletes from Frisco Badminton Academy (FBA) have been selected to represent the United States after their outstanding performances at the 2026 YONEX US Junior Selection Event for Pan Am Junior & World Junior Championships in Marlborough, MA (April 3-6, 2026).

This is NOT just another tournament. The US Junior Selection Event is the highest-stakes competition in American junior badminton -- it is the ONLY pathway for young athletes to earn the right to represent the United States at the Pan Am Junior Championships and the BWF World Junior Championships, the two most prestigious junior competitions in the world. Only the nation's top-ranked junior players are invited to compete. Every match matters. Every point counts.

And our FBA athletes delivered on the biggest stage.

Seeded 3/4 in mixed doubles with partner Ansen Liu, Charity delivered a podium finish and earned her spot on the national team.

At just U13, Kavya reached the JIT semi-finals -- a remarkable achievement and a sign of things to come.

We are incredibly proud of ALL our FBA athletes who competed at this elite JIT event: Varin Karri, Carsten Lam, Adhyaan Balaji, Radhika Birur, and Riya Suresh. Competing in this event is an achievement in itself. You belong on this stage.

What a tournament! Our young athletes from Frisco Badminton Academy and Austin Badminton Academy brought home an incredible 50 podium finishes at the 2026 Vistara South Open Local Championships in Lewisville, Texas!

15 Gold | 13 Silver | 11 Bronze | 11 Fourth Place

These results don't happen by accident. They are the product of long hours of practices, and the relentless pursuit of excellence. A huge congratulations to every single athlete who stepped on
the court and gave it their all.

A heartfelt thank you to our amazing coaches whose dedication and guidance continue to shape these young champions. And to the parents who make it all possible -- driving to practices, cheering from the sidelines, and believing in their kids every step of the way -- these medals belong to you too.

We are thrilled to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our students at the 2026 Bintang NorCal OLC & Shonai Selection Tournament (March 13-15, 2026)!

Abhiram Tripuraneni won the Boys' U16 event with an incredible comeback in the finals (13-21, 21-10, 21-9), earning selection as the USA Boys' U16 representative for the International Badminton Shonai Invitational in Tsuruoka City, Japan this July! With the USA allotted only ONE slot for Boys' Singles, this is a truly remarkable achievement.

Shraddha Prakash earned a well-deserved 3rd place finish in the Girls' U16 event against an elite field of competitors.

Congratulations to both — you inspire us all!
