Now I’m going to brag about my TEAM! 🥇🏆🔥
But first I’d like to thank the Machado Family for always welcoming us to the tournaments. We are deeply appreciative 🙏🏼🔥🥋

Man, I am so proud of these kids!

These young warriors started training when they were little. And they don’t just train Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. They train Taekwondo, Kung Fu, weapons, and fitness. They’re still so young, but they work incredibly hard, and what amazes me the most is how much FUN they have doing it!

And that’s a message I want to share with everyone, and something we should all remind ourselves of:

When we have fun, when we work hard, and when we give our very best, we can accomplish great things!

Watching these kids compete today was truly inspirational. They weren’t nervous or afraid. They were confident, happy, and excited to be there. They made new friends, laughed, played, supported one another, and enjoyed every moment.

And yes, we brought home a couple of FIRST places, a SECOND place, and a THIRD place! 🥇🥈🥉

But what made me the proudest wasn’t the medals. It was watching every single one of them step onto the mats, fight hard, show good sportsmanship, and give their very best.

They made me proud. They made their families proud. And most importantly, they made themselves proud!

These kids are more than teammates. They train together, grow together, challenge each other, and have become best friends. And I can only imagine how far they’ll go if they continue on this path.

This is what martial arts is all about. Building confidence, character, courage, friendships, and a lifelong love for learning and growing.

Congratulations, my young warriors! Enjoy your moment. You earned it. You deserve it. YOU ROCKED IT!

You’re ALL champions in my eyes! ❤️🥋

An Amazing Day at Shawnee Trail Elementary! 🥋☀️

What an honor it was for Samurai Inti Martial Arts to visit Shawnee Trail Elementary and spend the day teaching their PE classes!

We prepared something special because we wanted the kids to have a blast while also learning lessons they can carry with them beyond martial arts. We talked about respect, appreciation, gratitude, controlling our emotions, staying focused, breathing through difficult moments, and what it means to be a leader.

Of course, we also had some FUN! 💥 The students got to see demonstrations with different martial arts weapons—including swords, sticks, spears, and more. We broke boards, exercised, practiced martial arts, laughed, and shared an incredible experience together.

A huge THANK YOU to the coaches, teachers, and entire team at Shawnee Trail Elementary for everything you do for our children. We are proud to support your school and your community, and Samurai Inti will always be here to serve. ❤️

And the adventure isn’t over!

Today, we honor the man whose vision changed jiu-jitsu forever.

Grandmaster Helio Gracie showed the world that technique, patience, and courage could overcome strength and size.

His lessons live on in every student who steps on the mat.

I’m so incredibly proud of our students. ❤️🥋

The belt testing that comes right after summer is usually one of the toughest of the year. During summer, schedules are lighter, families travel, routines change—and then suddenly school starts again, parents are working, everyone is driving everywhere, activities pile up, and life gets busy fast.

And that is exactly where some of the most important lessons begin.

This cycle, we talked a lot about consistency, perseverance, humility, and not giving up when things get difficult. Some students were ready to test, and some needed more time. That’s okay. We’ll have make-up testing, and we’ll keep working together.

What made me especially happy was the feedback from the kids and parents. Many of them understood that they had been overwhelmed with information, that they needed more practice and time to truly assimilate the skills—and instead of making excuses, they were ready to work harder.

That is growth.

These pictures represent the hard work, the happiness, the chaos, the laughter, and all the craziness that happens inside our school. We are such a special martial arts family, and I feel incredibly honored to walk this path with all of you.

I’m proud of the students who passed. I’m proud of the students who still have work to do. And most of all, I’m proud of the attitude our families continue to show.

We keep going. We keep learning. We keep growing together.

🥋☀️ IT’S NOT ABOUT THE BELT — IT’S ABOUT THE SKILLS. ☀️🥋

Congratulations to all of our students who passed their belt testing! This was a tough testing week, and you earned this moment through hard work, discipline, consistency, and perseverance. We are proud of you! ❤️

And to our students who didn’t pass this time: keep your head up. This is not failure — this is part of your training. A martial artist learns how to face challenges, get back to work, and become better because of them.

Our instructors will be working with you to strengthen the skills you need so you can come back stronger for the next opportunity.

At Samurai Inti, the belt is not the goal. Growth is the goal. Real skills. Real confidence. Real character.

Stay persistent. Stay consistent. Have discipline when things get difficult. That is the Warrior Spirit. 🥋🔥

We are proud of ALL of you.
