While focusing on traditional ballet technique, DCJ offers a full line of dance classes for every individual at every level. Classical Ballet and Pointe, Tap, Jazz, Modern, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Pilates, Creative Movement, Tumbling, Musical Theater and special classes focusing on specific aspects of dance and performing arts. s have taken top awards at various Regional competitions, including Starbound, CoDance and Starlight. For more in depth instruction, DCJ offers the Repertory Dance Theatre of Texas (RDTT). RDTT is a non-profit performing company offering the more serious dancer age 13-adult, the opportunity to perform in more professional venues. In addition, RDTT offers a Junior & Apprentice company for dancers ages 8-14. DCJ believes in developing qualities every child needs to succeed and placing them on the right track for success by emphasizing discipline, focus and self confidence. This is possible only with a professionally trained staff with knowledge of the best and most current techniques in dance education. Dance instructors at Dianne Cole Johnson School of Dance are professionals with degrees in dance as well as experienced in performance and choreography.
