DCJ Dance Providing the highest level of quality performing arts education and dance training to North Dallas and surrounding suburbs for over three decades.

While focusing on traditional ballet technique, DCJ offers a full line of dance classes for every individual at every level. Classical Ballet and Pointe, Tap, Jazz, Modern, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Pilates, Creative Movement, Tumbling, Musical Theater and special classes focusing on specific aspects of dance and performing arts. DCJ is also the home of the award winning Diva's Competition Team. The Diva'

s have taken top awards at various Regional competitions, including Starbound, CoDance and Starlight. For more in depth instruction, DCJ offers the Repertory Dance Theatre of Texas (RDTT). RDTT is a non-profit performing company offering the more serious dancer age 13-adult, the opportunity to perform in more professional venues. In addition, RDTT offers a Junior & Apprentice company for dancers ages 8-14. DCJ believes in developing qualities every child needs to succeed and placing them on the right track for success by emphasizing discipline, focus and self confidence. This is possible only with a professionally trained staff with knowledge of the best and most current techniques in dance education. Dance instructors at Dianne Cole Johnson School of Dance are professionals with degrees in dance as well as experienced in performance and choreography.

Last week we celebrated the signing day of our 6 graduating seniors at DCJ Dance, and I could not be more proud.

All 6 seniors will continue dancing at the collegiate level next year, whether on collegiate dance teams or in university dance programs/BFAs at schools including the University of Texas, University of Arkansas, Oklahoma State, Tarleton State, and Marymount Manhattan College.

These girls helped shape the culture of our studio through their leadership, resilience, kindness, and work ethic, while also being part of one of the most successful competitive stretches in DCJ history.

But beyond the titles and championships, what makes me most proud is watching them continue their dance journeys at the next level.

Next year marks 50 years of DCJ Dance, and moments like this are such a reminder of why we do what we do.

Congratulations seniors! We love you and can’t wait to watch what comes next.
