FEATURE FRIDAY šŸ¤ 

A MOUNTAIN GUN, WEST TEXAS STYLE

You donā€™t have to live in the mountains to appreciate a Mountain Gun. Out here, rattlesnakes are always a concern, especially around horses and livestock. This weekā€™s Feature Friday felt pretty fitting for ranch life in the Texas Panhandle.

This Smith & Wesson 617-7 Mountain Gun has a little Tyler Gun Works touch with our in-house action job and a handsome set of high-grade walnut grips. It looks right at home paired with a little .22 snakeshot and some West Texas scenery.

Just another day in West Texasā€¦ keeping an eye out for snakes, appreciating a good Mountain Gun, and praying for rain. šŸ™šŸŒ§ļøšŸŽšŸŒ¾

Hard to beat a classic Pythonā€¦ especially with a little Tyler Gun Works touch.

This 4.25ā€ C**t Python .357 Magnum is dressed in our TGW Bear Hug walnut grips and received our in-house action job. The stainless finish paired with that rich walnut is one good-looking combination.

Classic C**t lines. Beautiful walnut. A little TGW action thrown in for good measure. Thatā€™ll do for a Monday.

WHEN THE WALNUT STEALS THE SHOW

R***r and Lipseyā€™s have been turning out some seriously impressive walnut, and this one was begging for a permanent spot in the feed. šŸ“ø

The figure, contrast, and natural character in this high-grade stock are just outstanding. This is the kind of wood that makes you turn it over, catch it in a different light, and look all over again.

Sometimes Mother Nature does the best custom work.

We had a feeling this one might turn a few headsā€¦ apparently we underestimated the audience.

This classic Wi******er Model 1890 Deluxe in .22 WRF drew quite the crowd when we took it outside for a few photos. Between the high grade walnut, blued steel, Lyman tang sight, and unmistakable lines of an old Wi******er, even the horses had to come over for a closer look.

Safe to say, this one is definitely a head-turner.

This commemorative project brings together classic American craftsmanship with artwork honoring our nation's story from 1776ā€“2026. Across the vivid TGW Color Cased finish you'll find the Bald Eagle, Statue of Liberty, Liberty Bell, Mount Rushmore, Washington Crossing the Delaware, ā€œWe the People,ā€ and other patriotic details woven throughout.
