Championship Golf Center Great time of year to dust off those clubs and get back into the swing of things. There's no better place for it. New bucket challenge target buckets at 60 yds.

We have a great range with the best natural grass tee boxes in the area, and thick matts for wet weather. Target greens at 80 yds, 120 yds, 130 yds, 150 yds, and 180 yds. Drop one in the bucket and win a small bucket of balls. A chipping green to work on your short game. A putting mat by "perfect putting" to work on honing your putting stroke. Yardage markers out to 288 yrds. Additional challenge

targets at 30 yrds. A 36 yrd wide simulated fairway to practice hitting fairways. Come on out and let us help you improve your game.

Thank you CGC customers for the fantastic turn out to our Gentle Ben raffle. The great folks at Gentle Ben Spirits, https://www.facebook.com/GentleBenSpirits, donated a gift box to raise money for the range. We raised over $700 to fund putting sod down on our new pitching green. Once complete we will have great targets at 30 to 40 yard, buckets at 60 yards and target greens out to 190 yards.

Congratulations to Mike R. for having the winning ticket. A regular member of the range, you will find Mike out here 2 or 3 times a week. Tell him congrats.....and ask him for a sip of the bourbon.

And get down to Alvin and try the Gentle Ben tasting room. A sip of their smooth spirits is as good as striping a driver down the middle of the fairway.

We had a great first clinic last Friday. Let's keep the momentum going this coming Friday, March 1.

Open to all 7th and 8th graders, boys and girls. Spread the word and bring out those youts (youths 😁).

Congratulations Friendswood! A few weeks back Friendswood Intermediate announced tryouts for boys and girls golf teams. Over 120 kids signed up to tryout. That huge number reflects the quality of the high school program and the interest level in golf in this area. It's a wonderful thing to see. Unfortunately only 10 boys and
10 girls spots were open, leaving a lot of kids unable to pursue the best sport in world..

We here at CGC want to help fuel the passion for golf so we are announcing a FREE clinic for all those 7th and 8th graders, that want to learn how to strike a golf ball and work towards making the team next year. You don't have to be from Friendswood Intermediate to participate.

Where - Championship Golf Center, 2920 W Parkwood, AV, Friendswood

When - Starting Fri. 2/23 4:30 to 5:30 and every Fri evening after.

A large bucket of balls and instruction will be provided. We have Jr clubs to use if needed.
