Today we pause to remember the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

Memorial Day is not just a long weekend, a cookout, or the unofficial start of summer. It is a day set aside to honor those who never came home.

Because of their sacrifice, we live with freedoms we did not earn ourselves.
May we remember them with gratitude, speak of them with respect, and never take lightly the cost that was paid.
