Through packed nights at Selland Arena, championship seasons, local rivalries, and unforgettable memories, the PSHL-era Falcons built a tradition that still lives on today.

Now, as professional hockey returns to Fresno, we honor the players, coaches, staff, and fans who helped lay the foundation for generations to come.

Long before the current era, Valley hockey history was already being written. 🧵👇

In 1946, the Fresno Falcons officially took flight. Emerging right after World War II, they brought a fierce, hard-nosed brand of hockey to the Central Valley as part of the old Pacific Coast Hockey League.

For over six decades, the Falcons defied the odds, proving that a passion for ice hockey could burn hot right in the middle of California's agricultural hub. They became one of the longest-running minor league hockey identities in North American history.

Welcome to the Fresno Falcons, Enrique Atanacio Vasquez! 🦅

Enrique joins the organization as Director of Merchandising, helping lead the Falcons’ retail relaunch as professional hockey returns to the Valley in 2026.

A lifelong Fresnan, Enrique brings years of experience in sports business, customer service, retail operations, and fan engagement. We’re excited to have him help create a merchandise experience that celebrates Fresno’s hockey history and gives fans new ways to show their Falcons pride.
