On December 2013, Purposed II Praise School of Dance began. The school is strategically located in the intercity of downtown Fresno in order to be accessible and affordable for families who otherwise would not be able to afford to send their children or for adults who could not personally attend due to the more expensive tuition fees charged by other dance schools in the city. ed II Praise School of Dance is to provide training in various forms of dance for physical, spiritual and personal enrichment. Purposed II Praise School of Dance is dedicated to bringing quality and affordable dance instruction to the Fresno area. There is a very active and dedicated Worship dance community already located in Fresno, however, there has never been an actual dance studio, where these dancers can expand their knowledge of dance as well enjoy being with other people of like interests. We make a positive contribution to society by inspiring others to reach their full potential.

"Contemporary dance" is a versatile concert dance style, that emerged in the 1950s and 1960s.

It emphasizes improvisation, unexpected movements, and self-expression, while still maintaining a strong focus on technique.

Contemporary dance is rooted in ballet technique, but also incorporates elements of jazz, lyrical, and modern dance.

It allows dancers to move freely and express themselves emotionally and physically, unlike the structured nature of ballet. - Google

Save the date! Fresno Unified Black Student Unions (BSU) proudly presents its 11th Annual Black History Month Program. “Dare To Dream; Celebrating Young Leaders Past & Present” on Monday, February 3, 2025.

We are excited to welcome Ms. Staci Jones as the new Director of this year’s program!

The evening show will start at 6:00 p.m and YOU ALL ARE INVITED!!!

This annual production includes students from all over the school district in partnership with Purposed II Praise School of Dance and our amazing community partners.

Doors open at 5 p.m., with a pre-show by FUSD students at 5:45 p.m.!

Entrance to the show is only $1!

Make this a family event and come out!

All proceeds support the BSU Leadership Clubs. ❤️🖤🤍
