All fish weighed on tournament electronic scales to verify size .

Roger is considered an authority on fishing for big Stripers and has over 40 years of experience, and a Millerton lake record 48" (50.3 lbs.) in 1998.

Took this picture from the Dinosaur Point launching area at San Luis Reservoir - showing how much the lake has fallen recently. The water volume is now about 1,159,000 acre feet- at about 54% of the full capacity of 2.1 million acre feet. Guess they can’t divert some of the water into SLR that I’ve been told is being released by other lakes into the ocean for some reason? Can’t seem to ever get a clear answer to why they do this? Someone know? 🤔

A very happy Gabe Krikorian (17) holding his beautiful new PB San Luis Reservoir striper ! He was hanging on for dear life when it suddenly took off - but he prevailed! The fish was carefully released using the Seaqualizer release tool- so another angler can have a great day too!
Warm temps don’t mean big fish stop eating - time to book your trip and land your bucketlist striper.

Couldn’t resist taking this picture with a - near PLS ( Personal Littlest Striper!) for me. A real monster. It had beautiful perfect little features and brilliant lines! For some reason it tried attacking one of our trolled lures that was almost as big as him -and got snagged on the hook. Not quite legal… ( lol!) so I bid him a farewell - till we meet again in 5 years or so ! Ha!

Guest Kevin Wartham of Stockton holding one of the 20 nice San Luis Reservoir stripers , that he and his buddies released on Tuesday ! Lot of fat 23” stripers in the mix - caught before the storm front . Bite was off- but we managed to hang in there and score some very nice fish on a challenging day. It’s getting better- but you have to know how to find active fish in the currently 1.5 million acre feet (73% ) reservoir .
Time to book your trip for the next couple weeks -as the spawn unfolds with the next full moon! Great time for big stripers ! Lake looks beautiful now -and all the wildlife is out too.
