Four K Labradors

Four K Labradors Four K Labradors is a private kennel which is active in AKC Hunt Tests and Conformation Shows. We occassionaly have older dogs available.

We started in 2000 and have produced numerous Champions and hunt test title holders from both our Labrador and German Shorthaired Pointer breedings. Labradors from both field and show lines available in Black, Yellow and Chocolate. Check our website from current information.

tough run, but Lainey got her first AKC JH pass. Three more to go for the title.

Why was it tough? The judges sat up at a location where they had cut really tall grass. I'm thinking Sudan for hay, and laid it down on the slope. Dogs couldn't see over it or get traction to go over it. Judge commented on her being small. She may be a field lab, but we keep them with height standard for labs and do not believe in breeding them to be pony size. It made me wonder what a Toller would do at a test designed for larger dogs? A junior hunt test should be set up so that a six to twelve month old dog of any retrieving breed can run it safely. I'm getting if my soap box...
