✨Weekend recap✨

And what a weekend it was…

Trent- went out for his heat. Started last and drove up to 2nd. Car felt great and he was excited for the A! Unfortunately, two laps into the A, our driver got unnecessarily side slammed in between 3&4 and it absolutely shredded his axle and possibly bent the rear end. Had to be towed off the track. Not entirely surprising that our first time on the hook would be championship night.. Finished 20th that night! Went into it expecting 2 or 3rd in points, and we ultimately got 2nd. After only 4 full years of racing, we’ll take it! Points weren’t our goal this year, winning a race was. We didn’t quite get there, but hopefully soon 🤞🏼 our plan was to finish the year at sprint nationals on Friday night but we have major work to do if we want to make it. 🤷🏻‍♀️ we will see

Lilah- last week was her points championship night. She ended up 3rd in points overall! As rookie parents, we are ecstatic for her! Her uncle asked her if she wanted to go gokarting at a new track yesterday so we tripped up to Norfolk. Her first heat she was doing great, running 3rd I believe, but her gas pedal turned mid race and she felt uncomfortable finishing so she pulled off. 2nd heat wasn’t bad! She started pole and finished 3rd. We strongly encouraged Lilah to do what she felt best yesterday. She didn’t want to change anything. Girl finished 5th! Probably should have changed gears but it was a good way to show her the importance of that. She had fun!

As always, we are grateful just to be able to race. As a mom/wife I am just grateful when my two get out of the car/karts unscathed 🤭
We’ll see if we can get the car together for Friday. If not, see y’all at the next one 🏁

Good morning! Life got hectic yesterday and we were unable to post the winner right away.

Here is the video of the winner. I will comment under the original post. If you are unable to go, please let me know so we can get the ticket to someone who can go! This is the last week the tickets will be accepted at the gate.

Happy Monday!

Life has been crazy the last few weeks. I will update you all about Trenton and Lilah soon!

However, this is the last week you have to use your regular season tickets. We just so happen to have two left!!

Anyone want to go racing next Saturday? It is final points night at Eagle Raceway, so you’d get into CHAMPIONSHIP NIGHT for FREE!!

✨Weekend recap✨

Lilah- girlie went out for her heat and was letting out a lot. She still gets pretty nervous sometimes and we are working through it. She started pole and finished 3rd. We changed her gears and sent her out for the A. Definitely a crappy start that we feel should have been called back, she ended up 3rd overall. She went out this morning and ran a few extra laps at Mini E. Definitely helped a lot, we think. Proud of our tiny racer for pushing herself even when she is scared.

Trenton- the heat race went well, started 5th and finished 3rd. Started 7th in the A and the car felt great! Started 2nd after a caution with 2 laps to go, caught the infield tire and it sent me straight up into Neil. I definitely didn’t mean to do it. My goal this year is just to win a dang race and I have been pushing a little harder to get there. In the end, it hurt both of us and I take full accountability for that. Truly sorry to the 3N team this week.

Hooptie hockey went great! Had fun running next to Dan and Brad!

RACEDAY!! 🏁

They are still racing, only received a little bit of rain.

Tonight, after the A feature, is the Eagle Raceway’s famous hooptie hockey! Our driver, Trenton Dowty was chosen to drive one of the black cars. We spent some time coloring all over the car today! Shortly after, we were informed he might have to drive a mini van instead 😅

But we wanted to give a shoutout to our sponsors for making this year possible for us! Only a few more races to go until championship night.

It’s FINALLY RACE DAY!! 🏁

We have a few Lilah shirts left, $10 each. We’ll bring them to the track this weekend.

There are only a few races left 😭 I think the rain won this year.

Ayyy 🏁 let’s goooo

This Saturday, August 8th, the Netflix Comedy Series, "Tires" presents Eagle Raceway's Famous Hooptie Hockey after the races! Team Hobby Stock will take on Team SportMod. The team that wins will have $1,000 added to their classes 'A' Feature purse the following Saturday.
What is Hooptie Hockey? It is Hockey played with 2 teams of drivers in vehicles (old hoopties). The puck is a tractor tire. The team to score the most goals by pushing the tractor tire over the goal line wins.
