Got to cross a cool one off the bucket list today. Dede got me a NASCAR experience gift certificate for my birthday and I cashed it in today. Two eight minute trips around the Kansas Speedway in a Richard Petty number 43 Toyota Camry. I had a hard time staying off the rev limiter, 5000 rpm, with my lead foot, but damn I had a blast! Thank you Dede for giving me a chance to drive a race car around an actual speedway.

We said goodbye today my friend. They call it closure, but I don't feel like anything is closed. You are still gone and will never share another adventure. You were a huge part of my life for a lot of years, many times a voice of reason when I came up with another hair brained idea. Running on no sleep chasing elk in the mountains, making the best of a sh*tty bear hunt in Minnesota, chasing pigs, and all the years of hunting whitetails together.
All the times I did something that truly put my life at risk and you are gone first. This one will hurt a long time brother, till Valhalla.

I have been fortunate to be able to count many good friends in my life. There has been one who was as close to me as my actual brother. I cannot begin to describe the hurt in my heart right now. Nick Roy, you were the greatest friend a guy could ask for. You never let me down, always quick to help, never thought of yourself. We shared adventures together for over 25 years. Smiles, triumphs, pain.
You hauled my ass out into the woods in a wheelbarrow when I shattered my leg in 2004 so we could hunt together, who does that? Losing you today is one hell of a punch in the gut.
I will miss you more than words can describe, a piece of me is gone.
Save me a place in Valhalla brother, I will send a flaming arrow for you, good buy my friend.

Hooked my '74 Highboy up to the trailer to haul her one owner 79 donor body to the shop to get started on a body swap. It'll take awhile but I'm going to do all the work myself and have a nice rig to take to car show's and relive a little of the youth I spent in these Highboy trucks!

Hooked up the trailer to my '74 Highboy to haul the '79 body donor to the shop and get started on prepping it for the body swap! May take me awhile but my plans are to do all the work myself and have a good looking Highboy to hit car show's and relive some of my younger days when a Highboy was my everyday go everywhere vehicle.

First day of physical therapy. Pretty darn sore after but I was able to do everything asked if plus some. The therapist said he was impressed with how well I've healed in a week and hopefully in 4-6 weeks I'll be 100%
