🚨MSJ AC is hosting its fourth annual Academic Decathlon this summer! 🚨The competition will be held on August 10th this year. To register to be a Decathlon competitor please fill out this registration form: https://tinyurl.com/MSJDecathlon2025. This competition is open to all, including those who attended in previous years (we have changed up some stuff, so it is still interesting)! This is a great way to get an introduction to the competitions that AC runs, and it is a fun experience for everyone involved.

Although participation in this server does not determine the teams later on in the year, it does give you much information that would give you a big head start!

We are the officers of the MSJ Academic Challenge Club and we will be running an Academic Decathlon on June 9th and 10th from around 9:30 am to 6:00 pm on each day. If you are interested in STEM and/or humanities, this event is for you! Our event will feature competitions such as Science Bowl, Ocean Science Bowl, Science Olympiad, Quiz Bowl, and History Bowl, and is a great way to have an introduction to these competitions! There’ll be prizes for the winner of each competition and for overall winners of the decathlon. We are excited to announce that Professor Po-Shen Loh will be coming to MSJ this following Monday, December 13, during lunch in C120. He will be presenting on an ingenious contact tracing method, education communication efficiency, and more, all with an overarching theme of the tremendous impact that simple ideas can make.
Professor Po-Shen Loh is a Professor at Carnegie Mellon University as well as the USA Math Team Coach. He is also the founder of NOVID (https://www.novid.org/
