🏆 LEGO HONORED ON THE 90:/5 JUNE SEASON PATCH
The 90:/5 June Season begins this Friday, June 6, and we're proud to announce that this season's commemorative patch honors a dog who left pawprints not only on a frisbee field, but on an entire community.
Meet Lego, the beloved disc dog of Rom and Catherine Dresbach of the Cincinnati K9 Frisbee League Club.
Catherine founded the Cincinnati Club for the Spring 2019 Season, and in the 46 League seasons since, Cincinnati has become one of the League's most respected Clubs. Though typically fielding just 10 to 16 handlers, this small-but-mighty Club regularly battles its way into the Top 10 of the Canis Magnus Club Rankings.
At the heart of that journey was Lego.
A rescue dog adopted by the Dresbach family in 2014, Lego quickly became the dog who started it all. Catherine once wrote that when they adopted him from Paws Rescue in Dearborn County, shelter workers told them, "It was like you won the lottery."
As it turned out, they were right.
Lego became the dog that inspired the Dresbach family's disc dog journey. He was the original disc dog in a house that would eventually become filled with frisbees, disc dogs, and League memories.
The team of Rom & Lego competed in 42 League seasons together, becoming one of the most consistent teams in the sport. Season after season they were fixtures near the top of the Expert Division rankings. Even in his final season during Winter 2025, at 12 years old, Lego was still posting weekly scores over 40 points and finished among the League's top competitors.
When Lego passed away in January 2026 after a sudden illness, Catherine shared:
"Lego did quite a few sports, but disc league was where he shined. It was the perfect activity for him."
She also wrote:
"Lego is the reason we have hundreds of frisbees all over the house, and a house full of disc dogs."
Beyond the scores and rankings, Lego was a family dog, Cole's best friend, a mentor to younger dogs, a favorite of everyone who met him, and one of those rare dogs whose personality filled every room he entered. Loud. Playful. Energetic. Obnoxious at times. Completely unforgettable.
This season's patch celebrates not just a great disc dog, but a dog whose love of the game helped build a Club, inspired a family, and touched countless friends throughout the League.
