Pat McGale Sensei from Omine Okinawa Karate Kobudo Dojo and Sal Belahi Sensei from Kobudokan Dojo in Urbana, IL trained with us today.

It was great to have them and wonderful for Pat Sensei to share some partners drills and other insights about his Kishaba Juku studies as well as some bo training. Great class!

Wishing all competitors attending the Bay Area Cities Friendship Invitational Shotokan Karate Tournament this Sunday, March 8th the best of luck!

This tournament is graciously being hosted by Bernard Edwards Shihan and we would like to kindly thank him and his team for the invitation.

We will have several students competing in kata and kumite. Ganbatte ne!

We had a few special guests join us for last night's class!

Firstly, it was great to have Harry Imamura Sensei join us and help share some of his knowledge and enthusiasm!

One of my karate teachers, Pat McGale Sensei, from Omine Okinawa Karate Kobudo Dojo in South San Francisco, also joined along with a couple of his students and friends, Nick Tom and Nick Soon- both longtime students of Pat Sensei.

It was great to share the mat with such seasoned practitioners; the energy in the room was palpable!

We are very grateful for our community and extended community and we welcome you to join us!

As we near the 3rd anniversary of Bernardo Sensei's passing, we would like to share his online to memorial to honor his memory. He is still a bright presence in the dojo and we miss him greatly!

Wishing our students and families a restful and relaxing Thanksgiving holiday!

We will be closed on Thanksgiving as well as Sunday. Nov. 30th. Classes will resume on Tuesday, Dec. 2nd.
