The History of Mission Hills
The land that Mission Hills Racquet and Swim Club is currently on once used to be owned by Kimber Farms, a company that pioneered the scientific breeding of chickens and turkeys. John Kimber, the company founder, created a recreational area for the company's employees and their families. In 1976, the Kimber Woods Tennis and Country Club opened. In 2019, Mission Hills Tennis & Swim Club was sold and the club was renamed to Mission Hills Racquet & Swim Club. The new owner proposed to expand the club and give the community what they've been waiting for, for years. The owner proposed to the city plans to renovate the club, build a new clubhouse, swimming pool, gym, and much more while preserving the beautiful nature of Kimber Park and giving to the community. The future is bright for Mission Hills as we begin our journey as a new brand and with a new mission to renovate and give back to the community for their incredible resilience and support in our club. New owner, new coaching team, new tennis programs, new fitness programs, new website... and much more. We can't wait to share what we have in store for you! 2020 is going to be a great year.
