y make improvement and/or changes in the content(s) described herein at any time. The Fremont Equestrian Team is a longstanding tradition in Fremont, Michigan. Students from schools within the district dedicate themselves and their equine to being role models in the community. Show Schedules -

Junior Team, Grades 5th-8th

Practices begin in Spring each season (Late April until the Meet in June). Listen to your announcements at your school for rider enrollment or watch this page for more information if you live in Fremont School District. Re-enrollment starts each season in April for the Junior team, 5th to 8th grades. Senior Team, Grades 9th-12th

For the Senior Season you must be a full-time student at Fremont High School in 9th to 12th grades. For more information watch this page starting in July of each year. The school will also send out notifications within the Fremont High School announcements and page starting in August. Practices begin in late August and go through to the last meet. Senior team meets are in September and October of each season.

Please mark July 18 & 19 on your horse show calendar. Saturday the 18th will be a benefit horse show for Sammi Jo Bateson at the Ludington fairgrounds. . Sunday the 19th will be a low-cost clinic sponsored by District 9. More details will be coming soon. The clinic will be open to both MIHA and 4-H riders. Slots will be on a first come first served bases. Anyone wanting to help out with this clinic please contact Jo Ann Kosanic. We are looking for both knowledgeable horse people and general help. Participants can choose one or both days.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to hand in their sportsmanship ballots this weekend. This is an important aspect of our organization and always something to be very proud of. We are pleased to announce that our Team Sportsmanship winner is the team of Mason County Eastern. Our Judge's Choice Awards went to Katie Thompson from team Fremont for meet #1 and Sophia Bennett of team Ludington for meet #2. Our Individual Sportsmanship Award was won by Sophia Bennett. Riders also with a significant number of votes were Karli Clark, Charlot Rice and Reagan Brynelson, Great job to all our riders for supporting one another with positivity, the sharing of clothes, tack, horses and knowledge.

Some seasons are hard and some seasons are laid back and we get to enjoy the fellowship and have fun! MIHA District 9 put on an awesome show for these girls to compete at and as always to our sponsors and supporters our team THANKS YOU ALL for your donations, contributions and support it helps these girls to be able to focus on what they love to do and that’s showing horses!
