Just a little friendly reminder from your favorite dance store lady who knows some of y’all thrive under pressure… 😂🙃

We do not keep a large inventory of shoes in stock, so most sizes/styles will need to be ordered. Orders typically take about one week to arrive, sometimes a little longer.

Your dancer can absolutely start class without their shoes, so no panic! BUT the sooner we can get them sized and their shoes ordered, the sooner they’ll have them on their feet and can start getting comfortable and breaking them in.

So if you’ve been saying, “I’ll get around to it…”

✨ You have officially gotten around to it.
✨ Bring me the dancer. 😂

Everybody say HELLOOOO to your amazing dance teachers!! 👋🏻🩰✨

AKA the women who voluntarily chose a career where they spend their evenings yelling things like:

“POINT YOUR TOES!”
“STRAIGHTEN YOUR LEGS!”
“OTHER LEFT!”
“5, 6, 7, 8!”
“WHERE IS YOUR OTHER SHOE?!

These women deserve MEDALS. And raises. And Starbucks. And probably therapy.

Because somehow MY child can’t hear me screaming “PUT YOUR SHOES ON” from three feet away… but her dance teacher whispers “clean that up” from across the room and suddenly she’s locked in like she’s preparing for the Olympics. 😂

They’re teachers, choreographers, therapists, hype women, hairdressers, costume repair specialists, tear wipers, and confidence builders!

And THEN they take the tiny feral humans we dropped off and somehow turn them into beautiful dancers who get on stage and make us cry.

So everybody say hello to the amazing ladies responsible for the pointed toes, straight legs, rhinestones, 8-counts, confidence, & memories…

We love you. We appreciate you.🫶🖤

Meet Khyatti! 🩷🩰

This sweet girl is one of my daycare kiddos, and to say she is excited to start dance would be an understatement. 😂 She asks me DAILY, “When do I get to go to dance class?!” Girl is READY.

Today I got the privilege of taking her on her own little private shopping spree at Steps & Styles Dance Wear to get everything she needs for her very first class on Monday. 🥹🩷 Shoes, outfit, bag, bows and even a pair of sunglasses The whole dancer experience!

And this is the part that made it even sweeter… we just happened to have the PERFECT size tap shoes in stock that had been donated by another dance family for a future dancer who could use them. 🥹
They found their girl today. 🖤

This is exactly why I love our little dance community so much. One dancer outgrows something, passes it along, and before you know it, another little girl is putting on her very first pair of tap shoes and counting down the days until class. 🥹🩰

Now Miss Khyatti is officially READY for Monday… although I’m not sure she’s going to survive waiting that long. 😂

WELCOME BACK, DANCERS!! ✨

First comp Saturday of the season is officially in the books! New year, new teammates, new memories waiting to be made… and the dance store is already the official break hangout. ❤️

Nothing like a bunch of dancers taking over the store between classes —snacks, a whole lot of laughs, fixing hair, a little chaos, and soaking up some downtime before heading right back at it.

Here’s to a brand new competition season, new friendships, lots of growth, and SO many good times ahead.

Don’t forget we have full classes at the studio tonight, Monday May 11th. The studio office is open tonight and then will be at the ticket booth starting tomorrow. You cannot purchase tickets in person until tomorrow night at the ticket booth.

Rehearsals begin tomorrow night, Tuesday May 12th. Here is the schedule again. It has been sent via email tons of times and is also in your spring handout. Please arrive a half an hour early with hair and makeup done in your first costume.
