Nassau Rays Baseball

In 1953, Levittown Little League started as the first youth Baseball league in Levittown.
It has gone through many name changes, including Levittown Babe Ruth Baseball,  Levittown Central Dragons,  and most recently Levittown/Nassau Rays Baseball.
The Rays program started 10 years ago as a small travel program, and it has continued to succeed and has stayed a competitive program on Long Island since its inauguration, being part of 51 playoffs,  and winning 22 championships,  including yesterdays Rob Olivieri Summer Open Tournament.
But all good things come to an end.  
So to all the players, families and especially the coaches that have been part of this amazing organization, I thank you ALL!

Nassau Rays Grabs Lead In Fourth Inning To Defeat Dodgers Nation

Nassau Rays snatched the lead late in the game in a 14-7 victory over Dodgers Nation on Friday. The game was tied at five with Nassau Rays batting in the top of the fourth when Jason Lee to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored.

Nassau Rays took the lead for good with eight runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Joe Faranda doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run, Danny Sarni singled on a 2-0 count, scoring one run, Justin Termine singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run, Caiden Siegel tripled on a 2-1 count, scoring two runs, and Cole Spinelli doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.

Lee was the winning pitcher for Nassau Rays. The righty lasted one and one-third innings, Termine threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen. Termine recorded the last six outs to earn the save for Nassau.

Nassau Rays collected seven hits. Faranda and Sarni each managed multiple hits for Nassau Rays. Sarni and Faranda each collected two hits to lead Nassau Rays. Nassau Rays stole eight bases during the game as two players stole more than one. AJ Nace led the way with three. Nassau Rays was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Sarni had the most chances in the field with five.
