This client reached out to me at looking for guidance and assistance in her fitness journey and improve her health. She was about 1.5 years postpartum and her previous training regimen was not giving her the results she wanted. For the last 12 weeks with me, she has been consistently working out with exclusively at home workouts with ONLY bands and dumbbells and has made amazing progress with 4 days a week of strength/resistance training and 1 day of cardio.

I’m so excited to see how much more progress she makes!

Exercising in pregnancy has many benefits, including but not limited to, reducing back pain, easing constipation, decreasing risks of pregnancy complications, promotes healthy weight gain for both mom and baby, improved heart health and strengthens blood vessels, and can result in helping return to exercise after delivery much easier.

A pregnant woman undergoes many changes in the body throughout pregnancy including joint relaxation and flexibility, change in balance and equilibrium, and breathing changes due to the increased demand on the body. It is important to talk to your OB/Gyn before adopting a new exercise regimen, especially if you have never been active prior to pregnancy.

Hi everyone! My name is Keara Wilson and I am the owner of Beyond The Bump Fitness. My passion for Women’s Health started when I was a nurse working on the mother/baby unit. I then went on to get my Masters degree and currently practice as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner. In the last few years, I have found that there is an information gap or lack of knowledge when it comes to safety of exercise in pregnancy, importance of exercise to promote a healthy pregnancy, and the benefits of exercise both during and after pregnancy/postpartum. I decided I really wanted to help bridge that gap and help guide women to achieve their goals and stay healthy for both themselves and their baby. I am very passionate about what I do and obtaining my Prenatal/Postnatal Certification allows me to guide each and every woman to their goals whether they are trying to conceive, are pregnant, or are postpartum.
