The midrange is a weapon most players never sharpen because they either never were taught it or told never to shoot it.

Either way, develop it anyway.

This drill exaggerates hang time and patience so you’re forced to lock in on that control! The same control you need on a normal pull up.

Basketball Grab Finishing 🏀

Most finishes get robotic. Same jump, same foot, same hand… every single rep. Why? Because nothing is making you react.

So we fixed that.

Here’s the rule: grab the ball with your body, not just your hand.

How it works 👇

1) Partner tosses the ball in the air
2) Mix up the height and the timing of the toss every rep
3) Offensive player has a split second how to jump
4) Low toss? Quicker jump. High toss? Now you’ve gotta explode.
5) Meet the ball with your body, then finish

What we’re NOT doing:
❌ Reaching up with one hand
❌ Catching it flat-footed
❌ Treating the ball like a defender

That ball isn’t a defender. It’s not a “situation.” It’s accountability forcing you to jump different ways and still finish clean.

Real game finishes are never the same twice. Your training shouldn’t be either.

The Double Ball Reverse Wrap Shooting Drill 🔥

One hard dribble, wrap behind the back, pickup then reverse the wrap for the second pickup and rise and shoot. Make or miss alternate sides. Every rep.

This builds fast twitch quickness, ball feel and confidence under pressure.

The 6️⃣ Shooter Gauntlet 🔥

A tough shooting challenge that made look easy.

Start at the elbow before every rep and backpedal to the 3-point line.

1️⃣ Catch & Shoot
2️⃣ Rip Through → 1 Dribble Pull-Up Right
3️⃣ Rip Through → 1 Dribble Pull-Up Left
4️⃣ Jab Step Right → Shot
5️⃣ Jab Step Left → Shot
6️⃣ Catch & Shoot

The goal? Make all 6 shots in a row.

Miss one shot and you’re back to zero.

This drill tests a player’s ability to shoot from multiple actions, maintain focus under pressure and stay mentally locked in when every shot matters. The closer you get to six, the tougher the pressure becomes.
