One more summer session before school starts and everyone heads back to their clubs for the fall.

Tonight we’re turning it up.

High-intensity drilling. Situational wrestling. Live goes. Good partners. Hard rounds.

All Warriors are welcome. Whether you’ve been with us all summer or just want one more chance to roll with your FWC teammates before the fall pre-season grind begins, come get some work.

Let’s pack the mats and finish summer strong.

FWC Summer Training is not done yet.

After a great summer in the room — and a few unexpected interruptions along the way — we are extending the 2026 Summer Training Program with additional practices on:

Tuesday, August 25
Friday, August 28
Friday, September 11
Friday, September 18
Friday, September 25

Same class schedule:

Elementary & Middle School
6:00-7:00 PM

Advanced MS & High School
7:15-8:45 PM

There is no additional fee for Summer Program registrants. All others are welcome to drop in for $20 per practice.

We are also working on guest clinicians for the September dates, so stay tuned for those announcements.

More mat time. More chances to get better.

WC SUMMER TRAINING UPDATE FOR FRIDAY, AUGUST 7

Unfortunately, Summer Training practices are cancelled again tonight at Freehold Township High School due to the ongoing repairs being made to the main gym.

We sincerely apologize for the continued interruptions to our summer schedule. This was not expected when we were approved to run the summer program at FTHS, and we know how frustrating it has been for our wrestlers and families.

We expect to be back in the FTHS wrestling gym next week, and we are also working on extending the summer program by an additional week to help make up for the missed practices. Please stay tuned for more information.

In the meantime, Coach Sam was able to make arrangements for us to hold both practices tonight at Strive Wrestling Club.

America has always been a little bit like a wrestler.

Strong. Independent. Stubborn in the best way. Not afraid of a challenge. Not always perfect, but always capable of getting better.

And maybe that’s the lesson worth remembering as we celebrate 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

The goal — for a country, a community, or a wrestler — is to never be finished. It’s to keep working. Keep improving. Keep chasing the best version of yourself.

Happy Independence Day from FWC.

FWC families — this is a phenomenal opportunity for our Warriors.

The 2026 Elite Wrestling Better Everyday Camp is a chance for our wrestlers to spend a week with some of the very best in the area — learning, drilling, competing, and having a whole lot of fun while getting better.

The training staff for the week is unmatched: world champions, Olympic medalists, NCAA champions, NJ State champions, and more. This is the kind of room that can help a young wrestler take a real step forward.

Coach Steve Rivera is one of the OGs of club wrestling in New Jersey, and the success of his athletes speaks for itself. But what makes Steve and Elite special is not just the high-level wrestling — it is the way they help younger wrestlers build confidence, toughness, and a real love for the sport.

This camp is a great chance for our FWC wrestlers to experience that environment, get around high-level partners and coaches, and spend a week in the legendary barn.

Get uncomfortable. Have fun. Learn from the best. Get better every day.

Many of our Warriors started preparing for next season the day after the state tournament.

They kept learning, drilling, and competing - at Elite, Strive, Dragon, Triumph, Rhino, Shore Thing, and the many other outstanding clubs we’re fortunate to have around us.

Three weeks ago, they began dropping back into the FWC room too—working around their club schedules, getting extra reps with teammates, and pushing one another.

If your offseason work hasn’t started yet, it’s not too late. Join them and put the work in together so we can take the next step—both individually and as a program.

Non-Freehold residents and drop-ins are welcome. So bring a club teammate, a workout partner, or your favorite opponent, and come roll with us.

Five Warriors.

This weekend they competed at the Tyrant Bison Duals in Pennsylvania. Different teams. Different singlets. Always Warriors.

These five represent everything we hope to build at FWC. Not just successful wrestlers, but young men who lead by example, work hard, support their teammates, and carry themselves the right way on and off the mat.

Our younger wrestlers see the results. We see the years of work, sacrifice, and character behind them.

It’s about learning how to get back up when things don’t go your way—and who is standing in your corner to help you find the strength to toe the line again.

Today, we especially celebrate our Warriors dads who pour their hearts and souls into every kid in our room — not just their own.
