Appy Orse has been home to many riders, young and old, for over 20 years. Owned and operated by Bernadette Ruckdashel, training and safety instruction is available to riders of all abilities. Western, English, and jumping lessons are given on quiet, healthy horses for beginner to advanced riders. Lessons are also available on owned horses. One hour long trail rides through pastures, farmland, and
woods are available to the public in the spring, summer and fall. Youngsters can enjoy a week long, overnight or day camp in June, July or August where they ride one horse and learn riding skills and form life long friendships. Bernadette opens her grounds for corporate parties/picnics, weddings, birthday parties, girl scout and boy scout troops, etc., as well as for weekend getaways where vactioners stay in an RV, enjoy bonfires, volleyball, and trail rides or lessons. Outdoor, indoor, and private run boarding is also available. There is also a non-profit club established at and associated with Appy Orse Acres called "The Willow Hill Riding Club." This club gives members and their families the opportunity to partake in different charitable events and community service, and provides young members with college grants. If you feel the need to get away from the hustle and bustle of every day life, are in town for the weekend and want a unique experience, or have "ride a horse" on your list of things to do, then Appy Orse Acres is the place for you!
