2nd Annual Warrior Academy is Underway!

Today we kicked off our 2nd Annual Warrior Academy for our 7th & 8th grade Jr. Warrior Basketball players!

One of the best parts of Warrior Academy is giving our younger players the opportunity to work directly with Coach Domach and the entire high school coaching staff. They are learning from the coaches, becoming familiar with their expectations, and getting a taste of Warrior Basketball at the next level.

Coach Domach started the morning with a simple message: Your attitude and effort are the only things you can control. The boys put that into action, spending the next 75 minutes hustling and working through drills with the high school staff.

A huge THANK YOU to our high school coaches for volunteering their Saturday mornings to work with our younger Warriors. We appreciate the time and energy they invest in developing these kids and building our basketball program from the youth level up.

Coach Domach also sent the boys home with some homework: "Brush your teeth at least one full day using your non-dominant hand. It’s harder than you think and a simple way to work on coordination."

And for the parents…he also reminded them that you should be brushing 2–3 times a day. 😂

We had a great time at the Back-to-School Picnic! It was wonderful meeting so many families, talking basketball, and answering questions from new players interested in joining the Warrior Boys Basketball program.

🏀 Youth Basketball Registration
Registration for the 2026–2027 youth season will officially open on September 4.

🏀 High School Basketball Meeting
Informational meeting with Coach Domach and the players will be September 9th at 2:05 in room 343

In July 2025, Coach Domach approached the NOSD Buildings and Grounds Committee regarding the need to upgrade our high school gym bleachers. With the committee's support, a successful fundraising campaign was launched to make this project possible.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, we secured the following commitments:
- Boys Basketball Club: $20,000
- Booster Club: $45,000
- Girls Basketball Club: $15,000

Following the School Board's approval in January 2026, the purchase was finalized, with over half of the funding provided by these clubs. We are excited to enhance the fan experience with these new bleachers. The bleachers feature new aisles and handrails to ensure a safer and more comfortable experience for our fans as well as a new updated feel to our high school gym.

Thank you to Coach Domach for initiating this project, and to the Booster Club, Boys Basketball, Girls Basketball, and NOSD for supporting this essential update to our facilities.

A Warrior known for his toughness on the basketball court is making headlines on the track as well.

Congratulations to Nicholas Schubert on breaking the Ozaukee school record in the 3200m with an incredible time of 9:53. Your dedication, determination, and work ethic continue to set the standard for what it means to be a Warrior.

Good luck at State, Nicholas! The entire Warrior community will be cheering you on.

Tonight was the first summer league game for this group as a JV team, but with every first comes a last.

After six years of taking the court alongside these boys, tonight was Owen Widmier's final game as an Ozaukee Warrior. The Widmier family is beginning a new chapter, and while we're excited for what's ahead for them, they will certainly be missed.

We want to thank Kaleb and Abby for their countless hours of support and volunteerism - not only with basketball, but throughout the Ozaukee School District. From coaching multiple sports and serving as youth football coordinator to volunteering with athletic clubs and music programs, their impact has reached so many students and families.

Best of luck to Owen and Symon as they begin at their new school. We have no doubt both boys will continue to find success on and off the court.

🏀🎓 Congratulations to our senior Warriors! 🎓🏀

Today we celebrate Dylan Budzisz, Chase Mills, and Mason Schroeder as they graduate from Ozaukee High School.

Thank you for your dedication to Warrior Basketball and for the impact you've made on our program, your school, and your teammates. We are proud of all you have accomplished and wish you nothing but success in your next chapter.

Once a Warrior, Always a Warrior.

🏀 Incoming Freshman Spotlight – Sully Paulus 🏀

Sully Paulus has spent 3 years in the Jr. Warrior Basketball Program, and one of his favorite memories has been the long bus rides to away games with his teammates.

Heading into high school basketball, Sully is most excited about winning lots of games and competing at the next level. Outside of basketball, he enjoys riding dirt bikes and 4-wheelers. When asked to describe his game in one word, Sully chose “fast.”

When asked what it means to be a Warrior, Sully said:

🏀 Incoming Freshman Spotlight – William Kelley 🏀

William Kelley has spent the past 6 years in the Jr. Warrior Basketball Program. One of his favorite basketball memories was traveling to three tournaments and finishing in 2nd place at all three. He says the best part of his game is his “in the paint” moves, and describes his game in one word: “different.”

As he looks ahead to high school basketball, William is most excited about playing with new players and continuing to grow his game. His favorite food is anything with bacon.

When asked what it means to be a Warrior, William said:

🏀 Incoming Freshman Spotlight – Nathan Luza 🏀

After 6 years in the Jr. Warrior Basketball Program, Nathan Luza is excited to take the court at the high school level and compete alongside the older players in the program. When asked to describe his game in one word, Nathan chose “unpredictable.”

Outside of basketball, Nathan stays busy with baseball, football, golf, and snowboarding.

When asked what it means to be a Warrior, Nathan said:
💬 “Being a good teammate.”
