We are a bit behind over here, however we made it two round 1 of the NE Extreme Dirt Track Championship Series at New Black Ankle Raceway Inc and as always the track was on point and amazing. Had some engine issues on Friday however Kenny from CANEBRAKE RACING was hot on it and we had things worked out in nothing flat, Fri practice went well, then the rain moved in and eventually won the battle for the weekend. Shout out to all of those who support us, looking forward to round two.

We are all set up and ready for round 4 of NE Extreme Dirt Track Championship Series nationals at Pine Lake Raceway and Trails. With a little break and a new power plant here's to hoping for a good weekend. Brody is super pumped and ready for the 54th year here.

Round 3 recap.
We headed off to Budds creek motorsports park for a big weekend with atvmx. Friday night practice went fantastic Brody was on point, loved the track and was rolling quick times. Saturday came around and again was pretty quick. Lined up for his supermini heat race and the quad all but died leaving the line, setting him back but was able to pick off a few spots for a 6 place finish out of 10, next up was youth all-star heat race, again leaving the line it all but quit with some quick clutch work he was able to keep it from stalling however about halfway into the first lap we learned why it didn't want to leave the line when the engine catastrophicly let go. He was able to roll the line for both mains to secure last place finishes rather than taking no points at all.

If any of our amazing supporters want to contribute to a new engine Brody would be beyond great full.

About noon on Thursday we decided on a whim to head to Birch Creek Motorsports Park for round 3 of East Coast EDT series. The track was quite challenging and riders were a little rough however, that's the game we play. With a 7th in super mini and THIRD in youth open he was able to get back on the box and is pumped to head back in two weeks for nationals.

RACE REPORT #1 for 2023.
Round #1 of NE Extreme Dirt Track Championship Series at New Black Ankle Raceway Inc.
We rolled in with a new engine that has not even been started yet after catastrophic failure the previous weekend. Out of the box it has major carburation issues, Brody got what he could out of it and we kept on trying to figure it out. After several carb and jet changes we were able to get it mediocre with a few Zip ties and some black tape from Blake Conroy #117.

Super mini heat had a jump start and when he came back to the line it stalled and he was unable to restart it with out help so he pushed it across the line for a last place finish putting him in the last chance qualifier.
Then on the way to line up for that the clutch stuck and wouldn't release, he was determined he was getting in that main and dropped her into gear from neutral at wide open throttle and lead untill the last corner and put it in the main.

Youth all-star class finished 8th in his heat, in the main after getting tangled up with another rider on the first lap was able to get unhooked and re fired and pick off a few riders for a 6th place finish.
I can't express how proud I am of him, he never lost his spirit or drive. When he had nothing left in him and kicked that engine 1937 times he kept on it. Rode it like he owned it with no clutch. When I was lost as to why we couldn't get it to run right, he was right there working on it with his brother and I and says forget it put it back together I'll take what it gives me and try and make something with it and that he did. We have some figuring out to do but we will be at round two ready to battle.

Without the help we get from our supporters none of this would be possible.

Thursday we decided we would head off to New Black Ankle Raceway Inc for round 2 of the East Coast EDT series, after chasing some handing issues we got those worked out and Brody got it together for a fast last round of practice. Then in his typical fashion he somehow created a lil internal engine excitement. the parts search begins now got 12 days to have it back together.

Weekend race recap:
Round 1 of NEEDT short track series and round 5 of NEEDT TT series.

Youth Sr. Short track heat-6th main 12th

90cc TT heat 8th, LCQ 2nd, main 16th

Super mini heat 7th LCQ 2nd main 14th

This weekend was a very challenging weekend for Brody. Things started out with a rider deciding to randomly stop in the groove fast from full speed and they came together hard, he took quiet a tumble but all his safety equipment did what it was supposed to do and protected him well, the quad However was all bent up and not repairable, he got right back on thou and finished up the night. we rounded up another quad and transplanted his Engine into it and got it ready for Saturdays TT event.
Saturday morning started out with his first practice on the borrowed quad turning into blowing up the engine. As we started dealing with that he got a few good practices in on the super mini trying to figure the track out. There were 26 riders signed up for each class and only starting spots for 20, so he had to start the 90 heat with a borrowed quad and an engine that he still had not been able to ride, ended up having to run the LCQ to get into the main and when the pressure was on he pulled it off. In super mini he's been struggling with his starts and gear selection, after some playing around and practicing he now has the starts figured out, now just for more seat time to get the gear selection figured out.
I am beyond proud of him he pushed thru all the cards he was delt and kept on pushing. Now to regroup and rebuild for Owosso Motorsports Park in two weeks.
