Full class this past weekend with a great group of safe individuals that wanted to challenge their skills and build more confidence around the vehicle. Their vehicles, our vehicles, here in our facility and on the street they need to be ready. A simple “I’ll do it for real when I need to,” doesn’t cut it because we know how that works.

While called “No BS Vehicle Tactics”, we could apply that terminology and label to all of our classes. We don’t pull punches, we call it like it is, we don’t just tell you, we show you why there are better ways and ways that make more sense.

No sitting on benches or chairs simulating being in the drivers seat, we put the students where the action was going to be and worked them all day long. We showed and demonstrated where the hesitation lies, what works, what doesn’t, and what is fluff from YouTube.

Thank you for choosing E.A.S.T. Group as your training provider.

Do you have a security “team” or do you just have some armed people with a CHL who are tapped and approved to carry?

https://bearingarms.com/tomknighton/2026/10/16/volunteer-security-for-salt-lake-city-no-kings-protest-to-be-charged-n1234160

This mess ended up in the death of someone completely unrelated and rightfully the person who fired the shots going to prison (as they should).
One place armed volunteers are often organized is within the church. Undoubtedly this is a situation with growing concern, threats, and potential. Does your church have a team, group of individuals, any planning, assessments, or training?

Just being armed is not enough. Just wearing the shirts and the radios with earpieces is not enough. Just having members that you call your “safety team,” is not enough. What it is enough to do is to set your organization in a bad situation with a false sense of security.

E.A.S.T. Group has worked and trained groups here in the United States and on foreign soil for the purpose of security for some of the highest profiles over the last several decades. Before returning, E.A.S.T. was already under construction in Ohio to train and prepare those going into harms way. A facility and options designed to for real world training and solutions.

You won’t find us plastering your images, you won’t find us tagging you, or placing you in videos. Whether your training is on-site at our private and professional or at your house of worship you can expect a level of discreet professionalism.

We are going to start our Friday out talking briefly about the shooting in Bend, Oregon yesterday afternoon. Rather than share the news articles, we will share the video from the press conference last night.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fVRDw8qR7ds&t=1s

As they are still early on in the investigation there is a lot to still come out about the latest tragedy in the United States. Children ages 5, 8, 11, and a teacher lost in this incident, another 7-year old and teacher critical, not to mention the mental wounds this puts on the school and community.

As we train and speak with law enforcement, armed staff, and educators throughout the year, this incident took a turn that we’ve discussed happening where a civilian responded to stop the threat. While sadly, lives were lost and a community impacted, the timeline says a lot.

12:59pm – 911 Call
1:00pm – School doors breached by threat
1:01pm – Lockdown ordered
1:02pm – LE arrives and learned that the threat had already been neutralized

We are going to hold short discussing the who, the fi***rm(s), the hero that stopped the threat until those facts come out. The numbers in that timeline released don’t lie and tell a very important story.

Hold your kids or your grandkids a little tighter. Ask the tough questions at school meetings that may not be as popular or be told we don’t need to worry we have a plan. Don’t be afraid to ask for accountability and talk about incidents like this and to take it seriously.

These are days we never want to experience, but we plan, prepare, train, and educate in the system to be as ready to respond as possible.

This Saturdays class "No BS Vehicle Tactics," is FULL!!!

In order to keep some classes moving with a particular pace given the amount of material we do limit several of our classes.

Students should expect a busy day of training and much cooler weather than the previous several. Watch the weather and plan/pack/dress accordingly, look up zip code 43019 on your preferred app.

Portions of this class will be dry fire and portions of the class you will be working from your own vehicle. Anyone can train in a vehicle with no obstructions and game it, students will get to see the pros and cons of their own vehicle.

Large scale incidents in schools don't just happen all of a sudden, data shows violent events have a long track record of history. Bullying, issues at home, violent outbursts, problems with school staff, seclusion, interactions with law enforcement, and in most cases mental health issues.

It's not just one thing, but there are MANY things that can be prevented, can be mitigated, but it has to be reported. Further, school administration must take these issues seriously rather than say, "we don't have a problem with bullying here".

Problems like bullying might not seem like much, until the last straw breaks.

Today is National Stop Bullying Day! Let’s come together—students, parents, and teachers—to make our schools safe and supportive for everyone. Every child deserves to feel welcome and heard. By talking openly about bullying, we can all play a part in stopping it. Let’s stand up for kindness, every day!

Nighttime, lowlight, poor lighting situations, these are where you're going to experience threats. The mere statistics show that these are the times when crime occurs. Criminals want easy victims they don't want to have to work for it.

Prepare yourselves accordingly!

This class runs on November 7, 2026 from 1:00pm to 9:00pm and you will have plenty of opportunity to experience lowlight and only moonlight. It is meant to be ran with handheld lights, but ALSO having a WML is fine as well.

We'll be on the range and then for a portion down and around the training house to see how light affects what we see/miss and how our light can also create issues.

New body cam video out from an incident in Newport News, VA from three years ago where a six-year-old shot his teacher in the chest. There is so much to unpack from this incident, not just the fact that the child had access to the fi***rm.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KnY9UsSlyuk

Why are we bringing up this incident? The systems FAILED. School administration FAILED. Then the assistant principal that failed to ACT had her charges dismissed. Let that all soak in if you have kids or grandkids in school somewhere. While strides have been made, there is so much more to be done.

Taking reports seriously about behavior, threats, and then having concerns a student has a fi***rm could have prevented this incident and the physical/mental injuries to the teacher. Not to mention the trauma that the other students had to endure. You cannot simply ignore warnings and ignore the signs.

The data out there shows in every single school incident in the United States has all of these trends. Threats, behavioral issues, mental health issues, problems at home, repeated incidents, known to staff, until finally one day…boom.

Not many updates this weekend we were so busy supporting the Armed Women of America - OHIO state shoot at the Cardinal Shooting Center in Marengo for their event.

It Happens in a Flash. Based on showing realistic differences in distance and time you have to react to audio/visual stimuli. Improving response times, increasing awareness, and simple movements. Discussed rules that effectively go out the door when you end up in a situation in the 360-degree world. Clarified data that is often misquoted. Spent a great deal on situational awareness and getting them scanning.

Overall a great weekend. Open minds. Great students who wanted to learn and asked great questions. Congrats to those that made the decision to run with their carry guns and FROM CONCEALMENT. It's all too easy to just throw the full frame competition gun on to take classes, and we had many ladies that stepped up!

Keep up the training, the world is not getting any better out there!

Some of the biggest lies that you will hear on the range.

⚠️ I can do that when i need to.
⚠️ If it were for real, I could.
⚠️ Thats good enough.
⚠️ Qualification is training.
⚠️ You need a trigger job to be better
⚠️ Dry firing is a waste of time
⚠️ I have my CHL, thats all the training I need to carry.
⚠️ It will never happen to me.
⚠️ It can't be me, it has to be the gun.
