GSM = grams per square meter. It's the weight density of the gi's weave. The higher the number, the heavier, denser, and more durable the fabric.

Memorial Day.

Today we honor the men and women who gave the last full measure of devotion in service to this country.

They did not return. They left behind families, friends, futures. They left them so that we — the living — could continue.

Some of them trained on mats before they wore the uniform. Some of their children, brothers, sisters, and parents train here still. Their absence is felt in every dojo, every gym, every family gathering today.

We remember them. We thank them. We carry their example onto the tatami and into our lives.
