Hip mobility and flexibility are foundational for healthy movement, strength development, injury
prevention, and long-term function.

Tight hips can negatively affect squatting, hinging, lunging,
walking mechanics, posture, and even contribute to low back and knee discomfort.

Our goal this quarter is to improve:

Hip range of motion
Joint control and stability
Glute activation
Rotational mobility
Movement confidence through larger ranges of motion

🏋️🏋️Healthy hips improve everything—squats, lunges, walking, posture, and even low back
comfort.

🏋️🏋️When your hips move well, your body doesn’t have to compensate through your knees or
spine.

🏋️🏋️ Mobility is freedom. The better your hips move, the stronger and more athletic you feel.

Try this inchworm exercise and repeat!

The wall snow angel is a fantastic exercise for improving posture, opening up the chest, and increasing shoulder mobility. It stretches tight chest muscles and activates the upper back.:

Press your lower back, upper back (midback), and the back of your head firmly against the wall. Gently tuck your chin slightly so the back of your head remains in contact with the wall.

Try to keep your wrists, elbows, and hands touching the wall.

Slowly slide your arms upward along the wall until your arms form a “Y” or are fully extended overhead. Don’t force your arms flat against the wall if it causes pain.

Over time, your flexibility will improve. A common mistake is letting your lower back arch away from the wall when raising your arms.

THORACIC POSTURE

Thoracic posture refers to the positioning and mobility of the upper back and rib cage. In today’s world, many clients spend hours sitting, driving, texting, typing, and living in flexed positions.

Our goal this quarter is to help clients:

👉Improve posture awareness

👉Restore thoracic extension and rotation

👉Strengthen postural muscles

👉Improve breathing mechanics

👉Build stronger upper back endurance

Day one: Looking Back

2 years ago on June 1 ,

Fit Body Fredericksburg officially opened their doors to the public. The long awaited day had come, while members patiently waited to get started on their journey.

Since then, we have helped countless people on a new path to health and achieving goals they thought never possible.

This is the mission of Fit Body's all over the country : Inspiring fitness and changing lives.

You won't find a better community of people and program doing exactly this.

We want to thank everyone for their support and being a part of this exciting venture and outreach. Just know each of you , make an impact on someone else. This is truly a family. One that cares, has no-judgment, and will stand by you and encourage you in the gym and in life.

I am eternally grateful to every member in this gym, present and past. , and looking forward to changing many more lives.
