This is a great venue to voice what you are looking for at either end of our FXBG connected trail systems.

Our trails are located just past the fall line of the Rappahannock, a central location for many local indigenous tribes, and our Motts Run trails are just above the Mahaskahod site. We have the marker from John Smith’s expedition in 1608 right off of our Scout trail, after his encounter with Mannahoac men who were hunting here.

Follow this story with a new historic marker to be unveiled upriver! Contact director@culpepermuseum if you would like to attend the dedication event.
