Our first introduction is Terrell Adu-Poku! He is joining us from Colgan High School and intends to major in Accounting. His favorite event is the 400m, and his favorite part of track and field is competing against everyone. He is most excited to meet new people and grow connections. Outside of running, he enjoys playing basketball.
Next up we have Anja Lehmensiek! She is joining us from Western Albemarle High School and intends to major in Kinesiology. Her favorite event is the 800m, and her favorite part about cross country and track is the balance between individual growth and team support. She is most excited to meet new people, grow as both a student and athlete, and make new memories at UMW. Outside of running, she enjoys spending time with friends, mountain biking, and baking.
Our third introduction is Braylen Minor! He is transferring to UMW from Richard Bland College and intends to major in Kinesiology. His favorite events are the 400m and 200m, and his favorite part of track and field is running fast and competing. He is most excited to meet his teammates and people around campus. Outside of running, he enjoys playing his PS5 and listening to music.
Next we have Patrick Tubbins! He is also transferring to UMW from Richard Bland College and intends to major in International Affairs. His favorite event is the triple jump, and his favorite part of track and field is improving his mind and body day in and day out. He is most excited to help the team grow and meet new people. Outside of running, he enjoys taking photos and videos and playing video games.
Our final introduction for today is Lee Spickard! Lee is joining us from William Campbell High School and intends to major in Historic Preservation. Lee’s favorite event is the 5k, and favorite part of cross country is going on long runs with his team! Lee is most excited to meet new people and make new friends. Outside of running, Lee enjoys reading and playing board games.
