This club began because of Gene. Because he believed—not just in wrestling, but in what it could do for kids. And then he backed that belief with everything he had.
Gene gave his time, his energy, his whole heart—to build Clinic Wrestling. He spent countless hours studying film, taking notes, and finding ways to help each athlete improve.
Always learning. Always teaching. Always showing up.
Gene never asked for credit. He never needed recognition. But behind every mat session, every breakthrough, every kid who found confidence here—was Gene.
Humble. Steady. Devoted.
A man who studied hours of film not for his own gain, but to help his wrestlers make the adjustments that lead to big wins—not just on the mat, but in life.
He poured into this place because he believed in the mission: giving kids a second family and a place to grow. Teaching them to live their lives in a way that sets them apart, both on and off the mat.
He’s the quiet kind of leader—the one who teaches not just by words, but by example. Fiercely loyal. Quietly funny. Always learning. Always showing up.
He’s been our foundation—humble, direct, and steadfast. The kind of coach who never wanted the spotlight, but who lit the way for so many.
Because of Gene’s vision, Clinic Wrestling became a second family for so many. He gave kids a place to train, to grow, to belong. And while he rarely spoke about it, we saw the way he carried it all—with loyalty, passion, and unwavering commitment.
As we close this chapter, it needs to be said clearly:
Thank you, Coach Gene.
For every lesson. For every hour. For every moment you gave.
Clinic Wrestling was never just a club.
It was your heart in action. And we are forever grateful.
