Indifference to outside martial respect of self identificational titles, the earlier martial grading did not include the study or subject designs as 'Magiester or Mistro" as accepted ranking in martial arts of the day.. but as many know since the accent of Bruce Lee conception arts.. the traditional design has burred with the Self Advancing Dojo models of this mixed artistry...

But again as concept is not always as good as Systems, this is where the true Martial future lay in study, and real self defense and Advancement... to be able to use and do, will always defeat theory and fantastisfaction...

SO be real in your training and rank is merely the desire to be better at what you do....

Martial arts as in the nature of it dies every year as the old masters ways are collected not by the next, but the most able, then the most wealthy, then the most known, then by the most seen media, and this has never been the goal as long as I been born...but the future is coming, will the martial be more Vr, then Life changing???

It is sad that a school becomes more a studio then a place to advance oneself.. I wish not to competive talk about other schools, but here is our resume if you will...

A youth that got bullied for 6 years, learning that joining us, helped him make the bullies wish he was their friend....

A displaced child who had only the mother, go from out of control , into a helper in the house and home, without asking...

A team of junior martial artists was play fighting and picked on my student, my student was taken down only to hang his head and blame himself, but I remined him his real skill was not in play...as they found out after a points tournament setup by them with me the teacher the judge, which all schools minus mine got more the 4 points in a 7 point match for each... even the final 7 point student from the other school, wanted me to give my student a point "for just trying" which I told him , we don't do for sport... my student with head hanged low, was upset and blamed himself, I told him again, we do it for real not points, ...which he found out.. after the Schools of the 4 - 7 pointers made fun of him and then attacked him, to prove he knew nothing, but that's not what they found when he took them all down, in real self defense.... and came back to me to say as I said ' we do it for real ", now they no longer pick on him.... as I told him the art can offer...

A future student picked on a longer known one and said my student was bad, and i was a not so skilled teacher, i cound have took offense, but instead , i visited them and then they became my student after a few lessons, which over time lead to them becoming a 2nd place champion in a tournament the first time ever going, doing an art of sword form that hasn't been seen since... or before..., but its more after his military stint.. he visits and thanks me for the man he become and the lessons he learned... no greater reward for a teacher...

A student had a teacher of jeet/wing pass from a college, and was looking for a new teacher, they found me, studied and in 3 months went back and the class voted him the new teacher... with my school's arts,

I have many stories like this, and all these are the reason many teachers should want to be welcoming to offer the advancing of such spiritual and gifted minded worthy ones...

The Un-natured History of Shaolin

There was 3 temples, out of 8 created, due to misfortune and time things happened that left only 3, as for shaolin, it's not monks, as the monks was priest of Buddhism, Hindu, and Taoism, and dao.. and they didn't know Kung fu, long story short, as of an accident students of Chan style long fist tried to defy politics and save a child, this gave rise after the success to the long fist way, but not happy with just that those gifted in a type of hardstyle training shared their natures with the monk, kung-fu as open was born, lesser Abbots taught in these helped in the works of the Chinese opera, and because of the industry of movie time, the idea of the fighter turned monk or visa versa was born...

Since my days studying martial arts, I thought being Shaolin and martial meant you was a shaolin monk, but now trained in the art as well as a few others, I see that was never true... being martial in the arts given to Shaolin, never at....meant you a student of Kung fu just as any other, just given the spiritual path of how the road to it came to be, while being Shaolin, and of Buddha way, was to be a monk in the roots to the lessons of Buddha and not Shaolin as martial method, as this education and martial are in opossing directions..( it would take me 5 days to tell you why) but my message here is they share the same road, just part ways when it's spiritual and not self reliance...and if possible rejoin at the end... few arts do this until reflection and or mastery.. so enjoy if you get to be one cannot of these lucky ones...

In today's world, showing off learned or earned skill is a right of passage to confidence in one's own self..and this is fine, but the difference between a student and a teacher/master is growing beyond just tool but becoming skill as that tool...
