Join us for the Chris Cole Memorial Golf Tournament, a special benefit tournament honoring the incredible legacy of a Frederick golfing legend while helping support local high school golf programs.
A proud Frederick Alumni, Class of 1968, Chris Cole went on to earn an athletic scholarship to Oklahoma State University, where his remarkable talent on the golf course earned him recognition as an NCAA All-American golfer twice.
Chris was a lifelong member of both the USGA and PGA of America and played an important role in the game of golf beyond the course. He served as Chairman of the 1984 U.S. Amateur Championship and the 1991 Ryder Cup.
But for many in Frederick, Chris will always be remembered as one of our own.
Chris became a fixture at the Frederick Golf & Country Club, where his talent was evident from an early age. As a young golfer, he set the course record, a record that has stood for more than 50 years and remains unbroken today.
This tournament is more than a day on the golf course. It is an opportunity to celebrate Chris’s legacy, honor his love of the game, and invest in the future of high school golf in our community.
